EB Update: Finishing At Technicolor
Current mood: stoked

Everyone is incredibly excited about the upcoming screenings. We're thrilled about the World Premiere in London and the reaction and excitement of the Highlander Worldwide fans has us all really jazzed! Thank you all for your kind words on the previous blog entry.

Now we're on the final steps of the process.

As I write this it's nearing midnight and I'm sitting in a basement in Hollywood with Kenny Wilson, the film's Director of Photography, and Marc Wielage, an expert colorist who counts among his many credits having worked with George Lucas on the recent HD transfers of STAR WARS, among about 400 other major films. We're at Technicolor in Hollywood. This is one of the little known processes every film goes through at the end, color correction for final display. What's odd about our movie is that we're still getting in visual effects shots as we're doing this, and will be up to the last minute, but the film is looking good, the effects are looking great, Adiran Paul is amazing, as is the rest of the cast and the robots are looking, quite literally, killer.

I wanted to thank all the fans who've posted such nice things recently about the film We can't express how much we appreciate your support and how much we think you're really going to love this movie when you see it.

I saw the movie at the convention and it was great. Adrian did a fantastic job. After the movie I had a nice conversation with the director and his wife, who wrote the script. What wonderful people and they certainly had wonderful things to say about Adrian. What I liked about the movie was the dialog. Will post more later.

From the pictures that I have seen, so foar, it does look like the auction got quite physical...hmmm....maybe.....nah!;)

I was lucky enough to go to London to see Eyeborgs at the premier there and it was great. It was a relaxed event and when Adrian and his group arrived at the cinema they were quickly taken through to a special room called the director's suite. The room had etched glass panels on our side of it and you could just see in between them and I managed to catch a glimpse as Adrian talked with the people in there and had pics taken. A little while later we were all taken through to the cinema where the screening would take place and soon after the stars of the film and their guests came through to take their seats. I found to my delight that AP was seated one row in front of me and one seat to the left, what luck!!!. Alex sat next to him and next to her was a lady who was later introduced as his mother. I thought it was wonderful for them to share this special cinema event together, and when asked by the director during the Q and A his mum said she had liked the film a lot too.
Before the film started there was an introduction of the Sci Fi event and they were throwing T Shirts and DVDs into the audience and and one lucky lady got a games system, I think that is what it was. Then the man speaking introduced Adrian and everyone clapped loudly and the man said they had a Highlander jacket to give away and he threw that into the audience too and guess what it just came to me, I only had to raise my arm and it was mine, I was thrilled as you can imagine. Then the film began and it was great, lots of edge of the seat action and jumping out of your seat moments as those who have been lucky enough to see it will know. AP looked wonderful in it but that of course goes without saying. I thought the action scenes and the computer graphics were brilliant and it was an all round great night out.
However the night wasn't over because after the film there was a Q and A and Adrian was out at the front with the other actors and the director and producer and it was so very interesting to hear about the making of the film and some of the background to the film.
Then it was time to leave and we were all filing out past the cast and saying how much we had enjoyed the film but I noticed Adrian wasn't there but when we got out of the cinema and back into the bar area outside there he was and David, my husband, said 'go on there he is ask him for his autograph' so I did. I had a dry mouth and wobbly legs, LOL, but I went over and said 'Excuse me, please would you sign my programme'. Adrian said 'Hello' and shook my hand and I asked him about his hand, he was wearing a support on his left wrist, and he told me it was just part of what he did and strains and sprains happen, then I asked him how the con in LA had gone and he said it went very well but was also very tiring and finally I told him how much we had enjoyed the film and thanked him. He was kind enough to sign my event programme and was so nice and friendly, as I know he always is, even though it was 11.15pm by now and he must have been tired after a long day and from the journey from LA.
As for me I was on cloud nine and floated all the way back to the hotel.

It doesn't mean much of anything. Netlix often lists movies before those movies appear on the big screen, but just as often, they list movies that they never get.

I haven't seen it, either. I think each PBS affiliate chooses from sort of a menu of shows, based on what the local viewers might like to watch, and on what it can afford. If the #1 pet show on PBS is expensive, your affiliate may not be able to afford it. Also, I wonder if having Animal Planet to compete with has made it less likely that PBS affiliates decide to spend money on shows about pets?

Yes you are right, I wouldn't want to meet those "cameras" at all.
I know a young man here in my hometown, he is studying Informatics and is working right on those roboters, which look pretty like those in the movie and are already damned alarming capable of many things.

We were frantically searching for the movie (even if we would have had to download it at first illegally) but there is no chance to get it. Now one can order it on amazon.us, but the dvd isn't compatible with our dvd format: it is only available for region 1. (We are really sad about this and really tired of waiting!!!)
But the pay will be high, when we finally hold the dvd in our hands, with the right format and ADRIAN in it :-D
