The image was taken at an event back in March, at the National Institute for the Blind in Hungary and shows Adrian in discussion with William Nemeth, a black belt aikido master, who is himself blind, as detailed on the Fanzone page of this site.

We just thought you might like the background to the image and article you had found.

The demonstration by William Nemeth was one that Adrian found of particular interest, especially given that being blind, as a martial artist he could only sense/feeel things coming at him.

As Adrian's official web site, adrianpaul.net includes items and articles agreed for inclusion by himself and his management team and therefore it's always good to see the other photographs and articles out there on the internet - very few of which appear to be missed by the forum members!

Thankee, Sue. I found the idea of a blind martial artist intriguing: you hear stories of masters who can parry strikes while blindfolded, and it sounds like impossible hero worship. This guy really does it, so some of the stories could be true!

On the other hand, I'm not sure I'd have liked to have been his partner while he was just starting. Ow!

As for the pictures, well, how can we not agree? Some of the fans are very clever googlemeisters. AP fans comb the net with a very fine comb and find curious and wonderful things.;)
