This is a lovely tribute to MJ from Adrian about how he touched his own life personally through his amazing music. He truly touched so many lives with his talent, all gone too soon. Again, Adrian gives us something to think about.
Thanks Adrian.

AP is competely correct when he said "sometimes we forget the moments in time when we affect others"...
I was at the gym when I heard the news of his death and was in complete shock; part of me still is. I watched the memorial from start to finish. Cried on the phone with my best friend and reminisced about learning the dance to Thriller in Junior high school; never missing his videos premiere live on MTV and, of course, his troubled life.
For me it's hard to imagine how different life would had been without the music of the Jackson 5 or MJ as a solo artist. Music always of all genres always filled my house growing up. I remember watching the 25th Anniv. of Motown and knew from the first note of Billie Jean that the music world was never going to be the same. It was such an amazing performance and it didn't stop there. He was the consummate entertainer. Whether you know it or not, you have heard and know his music and you liked it (still do). We will never know or ever completely understand what he endured throughout his life, but the music will live on for many generations to come. Be at Peace MJ

What a beautiful letter. I have so many memories of what Michael's music meant in my life and how he influenced me to write poetry.
His death shocks me still to this day and I have yet to fully let it go.
I've been a fan all my life through the good times and the bad and I will continue to be one.
It is easy to cry and say why God, couldn't we have him for one more year. But then his children deserved more time with him. Enough to last a life time.
Is Michael resting in peace or...has his soul gone on to bigger things.
This is now I will always remember him. A carefree moment when he was just a guy making a music video.

I was on CNN web site when I saw the report of his death. I was stunned, but what jumped out at me was his age, 50 ,my age. Wow. I just never thought about MJ being 50. To me he was the little boy in the Jackson 5 we watched grow up, Thrill us and evolve to the man in the mirror we saw at the end. I cannot apply the age to him, as to me, he was ageless, a boy/man.
Oh I cant express it any better. Sorry. But I guess it is just the shock of the whole thing still.
It was very nice of Adrian to share that with us.:)
My favorite memory influenced by MJ....
My son handicapped son had trouble remembering words and was forever stumbling over his feet. AND he had a speech problem. BUT when it came to music you couldn't tell it!
His thing was doing impressions of musicians. Toss him a pair of dark shades and he could do a Killer Stevie Wonder impression!
But then he heard Michael Jackson and saw him perform and it was MOVE OVER STEVIE AND MAKE ROOM FOR MICHEAL!!
The day the Billie Jean video came out....he learned most of the song and the dance routine. I know this because I came home from work late that night and found him crashed on the couch. I gave Hubby a forboding look and he said :"Don't blame me. He was waiting up for you because he insisted he HAD to show you something."
So when I woke him up so that he could get in his bed he said " I dot do cho yuo tompting Mom!!" I asked what he wanted to show me??
He began performing the song along with the dancing and for those few minutes my son wasn't handicapped. He was a normal kid singing and dancing.
He later learned Thriller too!!
Despite all the controversy surrounding Micheal Jackson in later years...
Those are the moments I hold on to.
My fav. song was Man In The Mirror.

I have loved MJJ since I was very young. I begged My mother for an 8 track stereo, and again begged to be taken to the record store to buy ABC, Got to Be there, Stop The Love you Save, (this one was my favorite)! I could'nt get enough then and as I got older I bought and own everyone of his records, Albums, and yes the 8 track's (still have them).
When the Jackson Five came to New York and performed I was There! That was my first concert....I was 10. To me Michael was someone I could relate too. The message in his music has inspired nations! I will miss him............
He was a Man who brought people out of their misery, if you will, for a time. All you had to do was listen.............and grove...........:) :) :)
Rest in Peace Michael

Adrian's letter to Michael was very sweet and beautiful!
I've been a huge Michael Jackson fan since Bad came out and it hurts so much to read or see about his death...music will never be the same, he was the greatest of all, forever!!!!
I watched the memorial and cried really hard.
I loved Michael from the start and will always love him!!
What media did to him was very cruel....
