It's definitly about time!!!! Very Happy News! :D I pray for a happy and healthy pregnancy. Just be patient with the morning sickness and mood swings. LOL.... My hubby always jokes I was emotional the first time around, but the second time he said I was just moody and mean. Of course he jokes about it in the most loving way. There will be crying at the drop of a hat and happy the next...bottom line do what ever she asks and you'll be fine. :D

Congratulations you two, what wonderful news. But Adrian did you really say the baby wouldn't change things much but for a "little redecorating and baby planning when you travel"?........Oh dear!! I think you might be in for a surprise about how much your life is going to change.
How is Budino taking the news? You're going to have to prepare him. Some dogs need adjustment time to this noisy addition to the family.
Congrats!!!!!!
Barney, this he is thinking only by the first baby! Believe me ;)

I was thinking the same thing Barney, I remember when my niece was born, when I would go to visit my brother, my sister inlaw would disappear just so she could shower or grab a nap. She was a stay at home Mom at the time. LOL Babies are so great though. Adrian did say that the baby was a mini-me so maybe their child is a boy. Maybe they have a name picked out already and can let us know. I think Cool had a great idea of doing something for the Fund in honor of the birth. What kind of thing could we do I wonder?
Peace,
Gin:)

Maybe it is a boy...but the baby could be a girl. How far along is Alex?
My husband thought life wouldn't change much when our first son was going to be born. Boy did he have a rude awakening when the baby finally arrived and the every two hour feedings in the middle of the night. Or when we were going on a trip and all the stuff you need to take with you. Flying with an infant was definitly interesting. Point being, you never really know what is going to happen until the baby gets here and even then the rules can change. :)
Hopefully things will go very smoothly.

Congrats on your new little bundle Littledevil. We don't know how far along Alexandra is, only that the baby is due in early 2010. I guess they want to keep some of the news to themselves which is understandable. That could mean anywhere within the first few months of the year. I'm thinking maybe Feb or Mar. They may have wanted to get safely past that 3 month period before making the announcement. Whenever it does happen, I imagine Adrian will be bursting to tell the world so we will hear about it! I think Adrian was telling us it's a boy when he referred to the baby as *mini me* but it might be a girl! I have a strong feeling it's a boy though. Whatever it is, it doesn't really matter as long as it is healthy. That's a commonly heard phrase from parents to be but it is so very true.

Happy Sunday Everybody!
Hey I was wondering what you all think of having an auction of some kind to celebrate the birth of Adrian and Alexa's baby. I bet there are some talented peeps out there who could donate an item which they made themselves such as in my case a jewelry set. I was thinking maybe something made of rose quartz which is a stone that signifies purity and love. I use crystal amulets and design necklaces and bracelets with matching earrings to go with them. Any other artists out there who could do the same? Just food for thought.
Peace,
Gin

That would be tremendous fun to read. Not a blog, though, because you'd worry about encouraging stalkers. A blog about a big toothy dog is one thing, but a baby is a lot more vulnerable. Besides, Mini Me might not thank Papa when he's older. ;)

No kidding on the pay backs with upgrades on kids. Myfirst born is constantly climbing on things and getting into things he shouldn't. I used to be a climber too among other things. :) I once caught him on the counter eating candy (M&Ms) as fast as he could before I could get to him. I only went to go pee and the little sucker got out of his pen and got to the candy.
That is understandable to wait until past the 3 month mark. If the implied is in fact a boy, then that would mean Alex is at least 5 months along. At 20 weeks you usually find out the sex of the baby. Depending on when they hit that 20 week mark could very well be sometime between Jan and March. Pregnancy is a fun time especially once you feel those first kicks.

Hello Black Cloud.
That's neat that your second son was born in February too, because I have a daughter who is a " Valentine's Day " baby. ;) :D
and my younger sister's daugher ( my neice ) was also born on the same day as my daughter too. :D
So I hope that this will give you a clue as to my guess on when Adrian and Alex's little addition to their clan with be born. LOL
Ellen.

Good idea Cool! Generating a cash pool would definitely be simpler than trying to put together an auction. What say TPTB? *grin*

It sounds like a fun idea Cool and Appeace.
Let’s not make it that people have to make a donation though, that part is completely up to the individual. We all know that Adrian's fans make donations to PEACE whenever possible and some may choose to on this occasion as well, but the choice is there's.
How does this sound. Make a choice of Month, Day and either AM or PM. This allows for two people to choose the same day, one for morning and another for afternoon. If two people choose the exact same information, l will contact the second person and ask them to choose again.
I will collate the information and let you all know the winner when the time comes ;)
I will keep the information private and leave it to you if you choose to tell everyone your choice.
Please PM me or email me at bbcontact@adrianpaul.net with your choice

I wanted to say Congrats to both Adrian and Alex
on the soon to be new baby girl. Way to go. Congrats.
I first heard about it while being on the road headed

So that is even better news. This little girl is going to be
very spoiled. I can already tell. LOL
She will have so many honorary aunties looking after her
and wishing the best. Some who are already making
all sorts of great things for her. I've heard about some.
They are great.
I'm sure she will have them all wrapped around her finger too.
Just like I'm positive she will have her daddy that way too. ;)
Admit it Adrian! LOL
Congrats again Adrian and Alex.
Good luck.

Hmmm? Baby names?
with a special algorhythm that combines the top qualities of both parents names I came up with "Kira" (or Kyra alt. spelling)
which from it's Persian origin means Sun- and from it's Latin meaning is Light - very pretty and fitting name since she will , no doubt, be the light of her daddy's life.

Hey Lt.Mac,did you know that KIRA is derived from KYROS,meaning the emperor?
That ancient Kyros was the one releasing the Jews from the Babylonian Captivity ond who ordered the first human rights-declaration written in stone(kept at the British Museum in London)?
My daughter Kira sure is an "empress" and I LOVE that name!!!
Great suggestion,Lt. Mac!!!!

My granddaughter has a beautiful rose quartz bracelet and necklace set you made that I got for her birth so it sounds like a great idea (if Adrian approves of course) for you to donate a set for an auction where the proceeds would go to PEACE and the gifts to Mini Me ;)
I know I would love to bid on that set as I know how gorgeous your jewelry is and that way those people with talent could make stuff and us that do not have any talents could still participate and feel we can show Adrian and Alexandra how happy we are for them and how much we wish all the happiness there is to them and their baby! :)

Many of you have asked about sending gifts. We thought the best way to help both Adrian and Alexa with all that has been offered is to include you all in their personal baby registries that are being set up at two baby stores. That way they won't have a garage full of similar items ;) We will post that information here in a few days :)

Hi all
I am minding the ship whilst Victoria is travelling and until she can find a functioning computer.
The following has just appeared on Adrian’s website:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Whilst Adrian & Alexandra have received so many lovely messages of congratulations on their forthcoming arrival which, in itself, is gift enough, they have also received many messages with regards to the giving of gifts, as has the management team for adrianpaul.net.
To that end, if you would like to consider giving a gift you'll find details on:
http://www.adrianpaul.net/fanzone.html (http://www.adrianpaul.net/fanzone.html)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Adrian and I caught up about a week ago and yes, he is positively over the moon about the impending arrival of a beautiful baby girl. I had told him and Alexandra that there are also those who would really like to send a gift but also wanted some idea of what might be needed and appreciated. To that end (and being very practical) I suggested a Baby Registry. Obviously people are completely free to still do their own thing but for others it takes the guess work out.
Go to the above link to follow up or just look at what Adrian and Alexandra have selected. You will note that the date of the impending birth is given as 1st January but before you all get too excited, this is simply a default date that has been put down since a date had to be entered for the Registry folks – the fact that it is Connor MacLeod’s birthday is pure coincidence!! So - for those entering the Guess the Birthdate competition you can rest assured that it is still alive and well...
Kind regards
@ Carmel Macpherson

100% No!
I can assure you that this other site is in no way connected to adrianpaul.net.
Like all happy couples, Adrian and Alexandra prefer to manage their own lives and take their own counsel and decisions and this includes, as can be imagined, the fun of developing their own Gift Registry for their little girl.
Go to:

I think this is great news. I just took a look at one of the registries. It's really exciting and it reminds me of when I had my last child andhow much fun it was shopping for everything we needed. The baby shower was fun too.
I note (with a huge smile) that Alexa is planning to breast feed and they've evidently decided on cloth diapers. Basic black car seat - :D

Thanks for the "heads-up", Carmel. This is a great idea!:D
However, for those who are making "special gifts" for the wee lass, where can the gifts be sent to get to Adrian and Alex?:)

Hi Carmel.
Would it be alright if a AP fan can shop for any baby-girl item, or, items at a store of her choice if that person doesn't want to shop on the " Baby 'R' Us " website, and also still send the baby-girl item, or, items to the address that you posted above ?

Yes of course this would be fine Ellen. It is perfectly understandable that some will prefer to "do their own thing". That is why we thought it best to give some color guidance (white, cream or soft yellow) simply to avoid the 5' tall purple bunny arriving!!!

Yes, you are right, Coolwater.
that's what we parents all have to go through!! :(:D
I suggested a Baby [/FONT]Registry. Obviously people are completely free to still do their own thing but for others it takes the guess work out.
Great idea Carmel, it gives people who care very much a chance to share in their joy in a very personal way.
Peace and Light,

This is wonderful news...Congratulations to both of you.....Babies are a wonderful blessing...Watching them growing and learning.....You will learn as much, if not, more from watching them as they will learn from you....Oh remembering that new baby smell and watching thiem moving those little hands and feet...The faces they make, makes you smile with wonder...
Again congratulations,
Doris
