Sorry that I have been so remiss in hanging out here but I have been extremely busy.My summer hobby has kept me extremely busy. Being a civil war reenactor is a time consuming project, I'm still busy creating alot of accurate period impression wear and working on my historical personas' as well as singing when I'm not busy working.
Summer will be here before I know it and then I'm off to the civil war musters again. I really enjoyed the fall civil war ball, it was beautiful. The fall civil war Harvest ball was set in a church which dates back to the 1860's. The foyer was a rich warm interior of beige colored walls with mahogany wood and trim, very victorian looking. The main ballroom was like entering a victorian grand ballroom with a high balcony overlooking the ballroom dance floor. The only source of lighting soft, rich warm candle light lit the interior of the church and the grand ballroom. Beautiful grand victorian ladies bejeweled in ball gowns and gentlemen in evening dress whirled around the ballroom in a rich cascade of color.
Throughout the night, victorian ballgown clad ladies and uniformed soldiers would retire for refreshments to the anti-room. Many quarills, waltz's and other victorian period dances where performed both by grand victorian ladies and union soldiers alike-fun was had by all. Happy belated Halloween, Thanksgiving and early Merry Christmas to all.

The Victorians put on grand parties, didn't they? Welcome back, Carnegie! Good to see your font again.

Yes they did, coolwater:) Thank you. My arm has been killing me, somehow I injured the tendons which connect to the base of the thumb and wrist. The pain has been keeping me up at night. I hope that my arm gets better soon, all is shaping up for my christmas concert, my choir will be performing a number of great classical and contemporary classical songs at 10:30 at night. My favorite is a beautiful score called: "The Winter Rose." I teared up while singing it, the music and the words are beautiful and very touching.
Chat later-Carnegie:)

(teasing) You sing in Sign? I mean, yes, ma'am, I hope your arm is better soon. How did you hurt it?
Tell more about your reenactment projects. I recall we talked about women in uniform in the American Civil War, didn't we? (Did I ask you about a posthumously discovered book by Twain?) Me, I help with the Feast of the Hunters Moon, and have to shift from a 19c Scottish woman (cotton and plaid and a bit of history I know) to a 19c French woman (linen and sabots and a bit of history I have yet to learn). What is your character?

Hi, Cool:)
My computer isn't acting right and I have tried to reply to your message once but my reply was dumped by the administrator/system because of a timeout sequence. My arm is hurting me right now, but I will try to answer your question when my arm feels better later.:)
Have a good night-Carnegie

No problem, and it was kind of you to let me know. Hope your arm behaves itself immediately.

Hi,everyone:) Sorry it took me so long to get back to everyone. My arm is fully healed and I'm doing well.:) The form of tendonitis which I briefly suffered from is called Pollocus Tendonitis and it is caused from repeatative motion. I was in a brace for a while and for another half a week, I will wear the brace at night while I
sleep. By the middle of this week, I should be done wearing the brace.
Thanks everyone for all of your well wishes and support.
Have a very merry christmas and a Happy New Year-Carnegie:)

I was gone so long too. Nothing as exciting for me except my pc died. I see so much has transpired. AP and Alex having a baby. WOW!
I also missed the Texas get together. Maybe some other time.
