Congrats on placing again! However having fun is what counts! Tho I didnt always even place--I met new friends that I have to this day and we always enjoyed getting together and competing against one another!
Our group was even named "the hens" by the judges because we were always taking and laughing before we sparred--all business in the ring--and talking and laughing afterwards--lol
It was something I will treasure always!
You go girl--we are so proud if you!:D

You guys rock! Thanks so much. Here's a link to what I didn't do at tournament; the night before, I broke 3 boards (the heavy ones) with an Axe Kick...it just didn't happen at tournament. I think nerves got the better of me, but I also know the guy holding the boards kept moving from where I put him. Now, those of you that do martial arts know those boards need to be held a certain way. I was not happy, but the master did give me "NICE TRY" twice; no really "NICE TRY". I guess it's just really frustrating for me, because I know that I can do it. Anyway, I have vented; thanks and take a look (I am very proud of this).:D

Good kick--great form. Yup, holding the boards is very important to the break. If the holder moves position or flexes at the elbow, it throws the strike off and the arms absorb the power.
However in fairness, I must say that any overhead strike is difficult to hold for as the holder must rely on upper body and arm strength to hold the boards firmly.
I prefer holding for straight on or floor strikes as I can "lock" my elbows into my ribs for extra firmness;)
You still did wonderfully! and YOU know you can do it!:D
