That ultamite American holiday has arrived :p- picnics, family gatherings, pool parties,parties, parties and more parties- My day will be spent lounging in the morning then around 1:30 we will be headed to Fort Bragg for the military style festivities- carnival rides and games- food- BEER:D- parachute demos-helicopter rides- local talent performances- and the grand finale a free concert from Neal McCoy(country music!!! My Favorite) and the fireworks presented by the EOD unit ( :rolleyes:you do know what the EOD guys do for a living, right?) there are morning ceremonies for the various units but as I told my commander this Public Affairs Officer is out of commission this year- I passed the torch to my new assistant, let him don the blue monkey suit and work in the middle of the party- as long as he don't take any pictures of ME.:cool:

Happy 4th everyone..

I hope everyone has a safe happy 4th. I just attended the earliest 4th of july parade. As it is held at midnight starting the 4th. I'll be attending a cookout and fireworks too. I hope everyone has fun no matter what they do too!

Hope you all have a Happy and Safe Fourth as well!! Let's see.... I'll be starting the day with the burgers and potato salad at noon (can't say what I'll be doing till noon..) Then Grace, Coco and I will check on S-I-L's house while she's gone to the mountains and babysit her pool for a few hours.. then it's to the park for some activities, live music, and fireworks. OH BTW lemon and lime mix quite well with Tequila:p and since the docs won't let me have any I'm counting on my Buddies who can to have one for me. Hubby plans to eat and stay home and get his semi-annual plastering done so it's going to be a good day all the way around.:D PARTY ON GOOD SOLDIERS!!!

Happy 4th of July to everyone. If you are driving drive safe and watch out for the other guy.
This year is the first year in a long time I haven't had to work the 4th.
So I am staying home and and doing absolutely nothing. Besides it is HOT and humid today. In the interest of keeping the electric bill down. I will be chilling in front of the fan. If you don't move it works.
Since I am close to town(1 1/2 miles)I will be able to see the fireworks from my home. No need to drive anywhere.

Happy 4th to everyone! Family gathering at my house for barbecue n beer (what else in Texas???)--lol I prefer my tequila with a little salt n lime:D
Later we will go to the lake for the fireworks celebration.
