Question ... Avatars

I don't see a way to include an avatar that I have created myself. I have one I use in other sandboxes that I'd like to use here, if possible. Have I missed the way to do that,:confused: or is it not allowed?:(

Also, perhaps a pre-ordained place to ask questions such as this would be a good idea.:rolleyes:

In reference to avatars we are sorting that area out at the moment. We do understand that a lot of you have personal images that you would like to use. I will post as soon as an easy way is sorted for you to upload your own.

As you may have seen we will have an Administration area that will have the different forums for questions such as these and notices to the group.

Please be patient as it is a work in progress and will just take a few days to sort out all the little quirks :)

But please continue to send all suggestions.

It would make posting here more entertaining if we could post our own avatars--I've been on boards already where pre-approval needed to be given--and I suppose that's a lot of extra work for the mods....

Hope we can all be trusted to post tasteful avatars so that the ability to share our own will be allowed....

Cara, my shoe collection isn't quite that extensive but I'm working on it. Book writing? Taking a break from writing novels for a while...mainly because I'm trying my hand at script writing, which has been an enormous effort to shift gears. The temptation to get into introspective stuff (since much of my stuff is character-driven) is brutally cut short because writing scripts probibits that entirely. So, it's been frustrating but also challenging and I think you know how much I love a challenge. All in all, though, it's going well. I think. lol. And thank you for asking, sweetie. Huggles.

Stephy, congrats on becoming a grandma! That's awesome.

Yes, I'm writing screenplays now.:rolleyes: As I said, it's a challenge to shift gears. Actually completed a screenplay-- a very dramatic, hard-hitting story dating back to the Great Depression era in Georgia, and lynchings. That's about all I can reveal at this time, but it's been sitting on a shelf for about 4 months now. I would like to give my head some time to clear, and time to create a distance between me and this creation so that I can go back and look at it more objectively. I'll rewrite as many times as necessary before trying to do anything with it. It's all part of the "process," as I know it. lol. I shouldn't get into writing too much in this thread, though. Kind of off-topic.

yes it is very hard to shift gears from one form to another I know I have several books and scripts both screen and stage in progress- but screen writing is the most fun you can really become your characters as you write.
maybe we should have a thread for writing????Everyone knows when I'm writing a book or script- I play music while I write books and I act the scripts out aloud as I write them.(talk to myself much? yes and answer back too!):p

Sorry I missed this post before.My life has been mostly taking care of my family and my medical work.I have also bought a few choice :D items on the Immortal Aid and Peace Fund auctions since they started after the tsunami.I also went to the Leeds HLWW Con and the Scotland Tour last year and had a great time.Both my daughters are graduating this spring,one from HS and the other from college.
