I'm a grandma again at 48

My son, Bill and His Wife, Frankie were expecting the birth of a daughter on or sometime after the 30th of August. Yesterday the doctors induced labor because the baby was experiencing blood flow restriction.

A premature birth with complications made for a very scary and worry filled afternoon, but at 4:37 on August 3, 2006 Anna(pronounced onna) Marie Qualmann was born and weighed in at a mere 4lbs 8 oz. They were able to introduce medicine while Frankie was in labor that repaired the flood of blood to Anna, so she was born perfectly healthy and only needs to be kept especially warm and well fed because of her size.

I just got told, by my daughter, that Im gonna be a granny for the 1st time in April!!:D

:DCONGRATS PEPE!!!! I turned 48 last Dec. and was gifted with a beautiful granddaughter on Feb. 1st. I hope all goes well with Mom and Baby Anna!! I'm sure I don't need to tell you guys to sleep while you can. Ours went straight from colic to teething. And YES we definitely are anxiously awaiting pics.

:eek:AAAWWWWWEEE PEPE, SHE'S SSSOOO GORGEOUS!!! Her coloring is really great too considering what she went through to get here!! You must have had a really great zoom on that lens to capture such a tiny little one and have it come out so well. My b'day is Dec.30. And my avatar is the g'kids aka my heart and soul. There are pics over at Mooseville of both in the "Family Gallery". She's a treasure Pepe. I'm sure you won't hold out on the spoiling cause one look at her makes you want to give her the whole world and annihalate any thing that brings a tear to those little eyes.

CONGRATS......................I'm sure you can't hear that enough right now. Your granddaughter is beautiful and so tiny. I like smaller babies.....they actually seem like babies, not toddlers. I'm glad things are going well.
