How about a day trip to a spa with you? She'd be pampered, and be with her daughter.
Or if you're near any water, a day cruise. Or a trip to a winery. Or invite some of her friends over to surprise her.
Or, the old standby - a shopping excursion!
:cool:Happy Birthday for your Mom Ena. What kind of things does she like? Is there something that she collects? I have a friend who lost her Mother and she so missed having her to talk with and give her guidance. I sent her a box with various items in it. One of those items was a crystal with a lighthouse inside and I enclosed a hand written note that said whenever she felt lost to look at the lighthouse and maybe it would help her find her way. She told me she enjoyed all the things in the box but the crystal and the handwritten note meant the most to her. I think it was because I really listened to what was in her heart that made it special and I'm sure you can find a gift as such for your Mom and just for the record..knowing I had picked the right thing felt priceless. Now I have a sil that returns everything so for her it's a gift card to her favorite shops.:D
That was really nice. It is always the simple but most thoughful that are the best. My mum doesnt mind not getting a present as long as she got a card. She says more thought goes into picking a card than a present with my family its true I go all over look for the right one with the right words.

perhaps an old forgotten photo that's been retouched and spruced up with a new frame. one of you and her or her and the family or even one of her and her siblings or parents. I don't know how fast you can get them touched up by any professional photographer can do it.
