Hello, I'm new to the board. I've been here a few days. I teach Global Studies in NYC. I'm a fan of Highlander: The Series but I think I admire Adrian Paul more for the work he does for children. I think it's great!
I hope to meet some wonderful new friends here.

Thank you all for making me feel so welcome.
I love wolves, they're my personal totem animal. About the name, it's really mine. I received it as child in a Native American naming ceremony. I'm native American, but was born and bred in NYC.

Donna,
I don't know the statistics about Native Americans in New York. "Born and Bred in NYC" just means that I was born off Reservation and my folks went to great lengths to forget their heritage.
Thanks to Everyone for all of their warm welcomes!
:DSilverwolf, I have a lot of Native American blood in my family too. If you saw me you'd think NAH NO WAY, but if you saw my dad you'd know beyond a doubt. We have Seminole, Blackfoot, and Cherokee in the family tree and spent many Easter Sundays at Kolomokee where they maintain the burial mounds and have a museum and nature park. Dad taught us a lot about survival skills and medicinal stuff that was passed on to him from his family but those on Mom's side of the family left the old tribal ways behind too.
You'll have to tell us about your Peace adventure. As near as I can tell it probably has to do with the Auction. It's occuring shortly after that date.:D
