Hello all!

I am new here, so first, let me say its nice to meet you all.

Now, I am posting to get people's take on something I read, and sent to the "Ask Adrian" center.

A Song of Fire and Ice, as I assume some of you know, is a series of books by George R.R. Martin. By coincidence, AP just did an audiobook reading for this author. And by coincidence AGAIN I just found this article (link) http://www.variety.com/article/VR1117957532.html?categoryid=14&cs=1

For those of you who don't know of the story, I am sorry I don't have the skill to give you an idea of what its about. My hope is that someone who reads this can give people an understanding of it so they can form an opinion.

What the article says is that HBO has just bought the rights to make a TV series out of it. One book would equal about one season.

My opinion is, I think this would be great for AP. My question is, what do you guys think of it. And the question I asked AP was, what would he think of it.

Please chime in and let us know what you think. I think if the show was set up like a "Rome" style series, man, I just think it could be awesome. And I would love to see AP act this out. (I'm thinking Jamie!)

Thanks for the read and opinions
Farris

Hello Farris, and Welcome. I just bought the first two books in the series and haven't had time to begin reading them as yet. They're next on my list of my books to read. I am finishing up a romance novel right now.....

I think this might be right up AP's alley in the acting...But, I need to begin reading the novels first to get a really good idea......

Hello again AP Fans.

I just wanted to bring this comment back into people's minds. HBO really is making this seires. AND it will be made in England they say, with mostly english actors. I think there are many parts that AP could play. I think it will be very well done (if it is anything like Rome...OMG). I just wish more Fans of AP were familiar with this saga. It really is my most favorite book series.

Hope someone in AP's camp is working on this. Or, if someone from AP's camp knows whether or not it is something AP knows about and is/isn't interested in.

Thanks.

So far, AP is not apart of the series. The cast is almost completely in place; however, there are still some parts available.

- "Game of Thrones," based on George R.R. Martin's "Song of Fire and Ice" novels, has added "Virtuality" and "New Amsterdam" star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and several other actors to an already sizable cast.

Coster-Waldau will play one of the king's guards, a man who helped overthrow the previous ruler, the HR says. The other additions include Tamzin Merchant ("The Tudors"), Richard Madden, Sophie Turner, Alfie Allen, Iain Glen and Maisie Williams. They join "Lord of the Rings" star Sean Bean, Mark Addy, Jennifer Ehle and Peter Dinklage in the cast.

The pilot is scheduled to film in Ireland in the fall.
