http://amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b/105-2569692-6498808?initialSearch=1&url=search-alias%3Daudiobooks&field-keywords=dreamsongs

The wait is nearly over for you all to be able to drive to work with the voice of Adrian Paul playing in the background. :)

Is Adrian going to be on the Dreamsongs 1 or 2 or both? I can't tell from the write up on Amazon who is doing the readings.

Dreamsongs

I heard one today the voice and passion of this piece says alot of its interpetation. Only Kids are Afraid of the Dark is a cold and erie piece but to hear Adrian read it you feel you are almost there as well in the cave. The spirt battling the ghost spirit the clashing of words is superb.

When he changes his voice you too are transformed. A good reader listens to the path of the story and finds his or her own path in which to interpet. I liked the one i heard it is drama and action fear and pain, adventure and solice.

Dreamsongs 1 - NOW AVAILABLE from Amazon

I finally received Dreamsongs 1 from Amazon and already pre ordered Dreamsongs 2 so I hopefully will not have such a long wait once it is released. I guess this one must have sold out fast because of Adrian narrating a couple of the stories - and he does it fantastically well the characters come to life in ones mind.

The first audiobook is also available on iTunes. It looks like you can either buy the complete audiobook (for $54.95) or just sections of it. Adrian's part is on Section 1 and costs $8.95. I haven't downloaded it yet, since the last time I updated iTunes I have a problem logging in. Plan on downloading as soon as I get that sorted out.

in 'only children are affraid of the dark', when you first hear those other voices, you think 'wait, that can't be adrian, either it's too high or too low' but, yup, it's adrian.
it seems like everything he tries he excels at. personally, i think it's because he's too stubborn not to be the best.
oh, yeah, and because of the incredible amount of preparation, study & training that he does for every character. the man is a workhorse. (but a very handsome one: )) he'd probably work 16-18 hr. days if you let him. now that i think about that, i'm sure he has. and he's got a work ethic that just won't quit, he's always prepared & ready to go.
we love you adrian, keep it comin'.

Its going to take me ages to listen to these properly. I keep listening more to the accents and the voices that Adrian is doing, than to what is happening in the stories. LOL
Very very entertaining!!

Thanks for the link Victoria.
I just listened and I can't wait to hear more. Like you, Stephy, I listened moe to the accents and his voice, but still heard the story. It is quite interesting. I need to go order mine now. Barnes and Noble doesn't have it in the store, only where I can order it. I was sooo upset, I had been looking forward to just walking in there and buying it, but no, they said I could order it if I wanted.
Well, that's exactly what I am going to do.

Thanks so much for that! :D Maybe I'll be lucky enough to win a copy instead of purchasing one so close to the holidays. If not, I'll buy it anyway.

But thank you again for the link!

Adrian narrates two stories on Dreamsongs 1 and two stories on Dreamsongs 3 so unless you are interested in listening to other people those are the ones you want :)

Thanks for the info....Volume 1 isn't available except online. I just ordered Volume II today at Barnes and Noble..I need to re-do that and order Volume III. I hope it isn't too late. I ordered it and a couple of his movies The Void and Merlin the return along with Volume II.

I just paused on here and called by phone to re=do my order. I should get them by this coming Friday or Monday...
Thanks again for the info on which ones he is narrating.....I would've been hugely dissappointed to not find him on The one that I ordered.

Greatly Appreciated
Sharon

You are very welcome! I understand completely as although I could listen to Adrian read a phone book ;) I have absolutely no interest in listening to the stories read by anyone else.

Funny that's just what a reviewer said about Adrian's narrating. He said Adrian could read the classified ads and make it interesting. I have to agree. I just finished listening to all four stories and I enjoyed all four. I can see why people say he would be great on stage. I was impressed with his characters. He voiced them perfectly, including the women. I listened to some of the other readers and none were as good as Adrian. He has such a sensous voice. You enjoy listening to it.

In case any of you haven't listened yet, the stories are as follows:
Only Kids are Afraid of the Dark - Disc 1: 11-16
Disc 2: 1 - 3

Stone City - Disc 10: 3-19
Disc 11: 1-5

Shell Games - Disc 1: 13-16
Disc 2: 1-20
Disc 3: 1-7

Unsound Variations - Disc 10: 5-17
Disc 11 1-18
Disc 12: 1-2

Well, I have been listening to all of the books and must agree that Adrian is one of the best readers.

I mentioned on another thread that it seems that he has the stories that require the most unique voices to really protray the different characters. I noticed that in Volume I and again in the first story on Volume III. It makes me wonder how the readers were chosen and how the different stories were then assigned to each reader. Was it their choice, or were they assigned based on someone else's opinions? Maybe that is a question for "Ask Adrian".

I am about to get to his second story now on Volume III and am eagerly anticipating it. I have only been listening while I drive, so it is taking me longer to get to all of the stories. I think I have listened to his stories on Volume I at least four times and I hear something new each time.
