Highlander the Source DVD release date

I have just been looking on Amazon UK and saw it is advertising the source for release in Jan 08 available for pre-order coasting ?11.99. Does anyone know if this is the proper one or the original pre-release one? Also I am looking for the TV series in region 2 any ideas where I can find them.

No idea if its a UK release but having seen both the Russian and Dutch cuts I wouldnt hold your breath expecting a good film, truth be told its pretty awful:(

I think the Uk release will be the same edit as the one shown on the SciFi channel in the US. It was the same one released in the Netherlands back in August to. If you don't want to wait you can buy that one online now.

As for the series box sets they have never been released in Uk region2, but its very easy to get hold of the region 1 sets and just play them on a multi-region player.

I have S1 but I can only watch it on my Little DVD player in my bedroom on the small TV. It wont play on the other in the Living room the big TV so i'm going to have to swap them over and have the little DVD player in the Living room with the big TV. Not that it will matter the only reason I have the big DVD player in there is because it's a video to but I don't watch them now really I only have a few videos left as slowly getting the all on DVD. Never mind.
The film I must admit I have seen I think the Russian version despite the ending being a little confusing (although happy) and what happened near the beginning (not happy) it wasn't that bad so hopefully this official version will be the new one that was on Sci fi (improved ending and fight scenes) so i'm told.

DVD player unlock codes can be found quite easily online, I unlocked mine to watch my series box sets with a code supplied by Amazon.

I must admit, I haven't seen Highlander the source, yet, I had a feeling Joe Dawson would bite the dust.
I would like to confirm it for myself.
They could have done more for the Highlander franchise.
I wonder what new storylines would be written for Duncan McLeod.

None is the thought that springs to mind although I hope I am wrong. I cant see the franchise bouncing back from this movie, its like highlander2 revisited:(
