Was up last night unable to sleep (sleeping in too late on a 3 day week-end:D ). Switching channels, I came across Dead Men Can't Dance on Showtime. Never having seen it before, I was excited to have the opportunity to finally see this. Adrian, as usual, was good, but as it ended, I couldn't help thinking how he would have been better cast in the role of Boomer (Michael Bein). My take was this was not a great movie overall (lot's of plot holes, lots of technical inaccuracies), but I think Adrian did a good job with what he had to work with. I just would have liked to have seen him cast differently. However, it may just be that I have a problem seeing him as anything other than the hero! Anyone else seen this lately?

WOW, I don't know if I sent this- I bumped pc and everything disappeared. Anyways, I rented DMCD, and Premonition last week, and I agree with you AP should of been in the lead, I'am used to him being the hero, and not a traitor for a fast buck. It was a good story for its time, kinda like Delta Force meets GI Jane. AP did great as you said with what he was given. Have you seen Premonition? I'am still thinking that one over, and the ending has confused me. Also, the love scene or rather rutting scene is too dramatic, and I don't know why it was important to the movie.

It's been a while since I saw it. I got the feeling from watching it that there were quite a few scenes left on the cutting room floor. I liked AP in the role. I just wish we had seen more of his character throughout the film.

This was the movie that Adrian was really unhappy with. They basically lied about the extent of the role, the director was fired and a new one replaced him in the middle of filming, Adrian got so frustrated that he said it was the first time he actually walked off a set. He had also broken his toe during rehearsal of the fight scene. Sounds like bad karma all around. I agree though that Adrian did a great job with what he had to work with. I liked him in this role. Adrian always bring more to his character than most actors. His characters are 3 dimensional, there is more to them than is what is written in the script. There are always layers upon layers. Which is why I admire him as an actor. This role reminded me of his "Vern" in Nemesis Game, oh so much more below the surface.

It would have been alright if he had been given better dialogue. The character was okay. I have a problem. Can anyone tell me if "Seance" is out on DVD or VHS? I saw a preview on his web site. It looked pretty good. I adore scary movies. Thanks.:o

This is a very good movie. I was very surprised at how much l did enjoy this as the young actors where not very experienced, but they do a great job. Adrian as always was great and should do more of these roles where we get to see the sinister side ;) . Enjoy the movie and come and tell us what you think after watching it.

:) Back At Ya Matthew!!
HCLA, Premonition?? Are you referring to the one with Sandra Bullock?? If so ..I loved that movie!! It's one of those that you can't blink or you'll miss some really important detail that ties everything together.

cocoknight- not the one with Sandra Bullock, funny when I went to my video store they have archives of everything, when I asked for Premonition, they got the new one, the one with Adrian was located by actor, anyways its about a plane crash and it also stars Christorfer Lloyd, it seems to me that this movie was under a different title, but the copy I rented was called Premonition, and I still dont quite get it, and I watched it twice.

I found all the female recruit training stuff pretty boring---Loved the interaction between Michael Biehn and Adrian.....and I was a little irritated by the ending since I didn't think the way Micheal's character handled the situation was reasonable--actually I found it a little beyond believable....

One thing I did learn about myself from watching this movie was that using the rewind button to watch Shooter kill people was very----fascinating! It was almost like a morbid ballet.....

I haven't seen all of it yet, so I can't really comment on the movie as a whole. I did see all of Shooter's scenes. No, I didn't hit 'stop' because of it (Although my roomie tends to hit stop whenever Adrian's character goes bye-bye because he figures that's why we rented it). I hit 'stop' because it was 2 a.m. and my eyeballs were giving me grief. My question is, did they give Adrian all the title quotes? We can make a drinking game out of how many times he says "Dead men can't dance." Well that and any 'Mr. Smiley' reference. *haha*

Either they wanted you to know why the movie was called "Dead Men Can't Dance" or they wanted you to know what you were watching in case you'd forgotten. Either way, it was still kinda cute and I ended up laughing everytime he said it. I amuse easily.

:D LOL Meridianxo. The movie was made back when "Catch Phrases" were the craze and AP already had one famous quote under his belt. Maybe they were hoping that one would catch on too. I don't have my copy of it anymore though. Hubby says I wore it out!!! :( He could be right but I'll NEVER tell him That!!

One famous catch phrase? Didn't Christopher Lambert start that one, though? ;)

Shooter was great. Funny. Not the most intelligent (But, that's CIA for ya). Seriously, if I were going to sneak a 'phone call', I'd walk a little further away from the little hiding place everyone was at. Everyone, by the way, who was already suspicious about his 'recon' excuse to begin with. I found it a little hard to swallow about the weird and totally out of nowhere direction his character took later on.

Did anyone else chuckle over his pick up line to Vic's room mate? :D

His character sounded liked he had a bad toothache, or like I said before its the dialogue. Sounded like the words were forced from his mouth. The movie might be bad, but I will watch Adrian in anything:D
