There was mention of a trilogy. As to whether there will be additional Highlander Movies stemming from Highlander:The Source, as a Fan, it is all speculation and opinion on my part.
I think the release by Lions Gate of Highlander:The Source and it's reception, will tell us the story there. I do know much has happen since the Trilogy idea was first mentioned...so my opinion is--it's anyone's guess!

From what I've heard all along the Source was suppose to be part of a 3 movie set trilogy. But to get the trilogy. They had to wait and see how the Source done. Then they would go with things from there. Seeing if they wanted to continue with the other 2.
The Source was to take Highlander in a new direction. With the release of the Russian cut that is out. It definately does that. But you never know what can happen when they release it later on in the US. With them changing a few things in it. It will most likely depend on how well it does. Plus a few other factors. Also another major factor is how they proceed with Highlander now without Bill Panzer around.
I guess we'll see.. Hopefully its not the last.

Hey there Bad Boy..you were missed in LA! :D
Actually, someone asked Adrian about this at the SciFi Con Q & A a few weeks ago and he replied pretty much the same. A lot will depend on what is decided now that Bill is no longer with us.

Aw Matthew....I hope and PRAY this is not Duncan's last adventure.....but I must say...if it is.....it was one wonderful adventure......except for the oh so sad part...not going to say.....big spoiler and all....but even with that...HLTSource is a wonderful movie! Second only to the first HL movie!!!

I've seen the Russian cut. Is it off limits to discuss it here? I do not want to break any rules, written or unwritten ;) (I have to admit I have not read the rules of the board yet, I was to eager to start reading the fun stuff)

Well Tiny Duck, there are some that like it, some that love it and then some that think it's a pile of rubbish. Personally I think it comes under the heading "could do better!" Of all the Highlander films this is the worst IMO.
I'm only going on the Russian Cut, some believe that the US cut will be better and will wait to state their opinions when it's released. I hope they are not disappointed.

I think it would be great if Adrian continued with the Highlander films. I haven't seen The Source yet.
But if it was me, I'd take a completely different tact on the storyline and the arcs.
Btw, I watched the anime Highlander: The Search for Vengence. Very cool. Another chapter in the Clan MacLeod that predates Duncan and Conner both. I hope there are more of these. It's much better than Highlander: The Animated Series with the Quentin character.

Part of this message was removed because of the spoiler content.
Personally I was hoping that The Source which had been touted as a trilogy will continue as such. But if the American version is similiar to the Russian version I do not see it continuing on for 2 more to follow. I enjoy Adrian in his role of Highlander as Duncan as he gets to use his enormous repritoire of emotions :D
According to the SciFi Channel's schedule, they will be showing Highlander: The Source on Setember 15. It is listed as a SciFi Original Movie.
Hope it's as good as the Russian cut y'all are referring to....visions of Mammoth and Mansquito are dancing in my head:mad:, but I'm still in...

Just curious about other people's opinions, but between the series, the movies, and the animes, what storylines did everyone like best or ones that stood out the best in your memory?
I liked the character Kalas as the protangonist to Duncan and the storyarc.
And for a single episode, I liked "The Samurai" (season 3).
And as I said, I liked the latest "Highlander: The Search for Vengance" storyline and character development during the show.
Anyone else?

Also, I think it would be interesting to see Joss Whedon get involved in a Highlander movie. I think that would add an unusual twist. Just a thought. :)

So I was looking back through posts and found this one and thought to revive it. So the rumor was that The Source was supposed to be part of a trilogy. I know for some The Source was a disappointment because many things were left out and questions not answered. I personally enjoyed The Source even though it was lacking in some areas of the story. I just filled in the blanks for myself. Now a trilogy sequence is either still up in the air at some point or totally dead.
What do you all think should happen and what questions or sequences about The Source do you want answered? How did Mac and Ann meet? How long has it been since End Game took place with Kal? What happened to Kate? I know there are two different end versions of EndGame. I saw the one where Kate lives. These are some of the Questions I would like answered. How about everyone else.
