The song I refer to is by Linkin Park, "What I've Done"...and also their other song "In the End"... I don't know how many of you who post here actually listen to that type of music. I myself listen to any song that catches my atttention, be it rock, oldies, motown, religious, soul, altenative, rap, or country.
"So let mercy come and wash away what I've done." Those words right there have had a big impact on me, lately. My best friend is what I wish I could be. She is very courteous, friendly, and helpful to those who I would hesitate to be friendly to. I know that is bad to say or be that way but I think that is just human nature to not want to be bothered sometimes. One gets caught up in their own little world and don't want to be disturbed or bothered by someone or something that would interrupt their fun or their peace time away from work or whatever. But, "in the end" it really doesn't matter...because "what goes around comes around, treat others the way you want to be treated" , those phrases actually happen to me if I'm not careful..
I see Adrian Paul doing as he does with the children and the charities, he is one like my best friend. I wish I could be more like them, I think that's going to be my new goal for this year is to be a better person, even thouogh I don't really feel like it.....is it so bad for a person to want to do better but when it comes right down to it, you can't find it in you to do it????
I guess that song I am thinking of pretty much says it all, "I've got a crumby job. I don't make near enough. I just wanna soak up the sun so I can rock on"..don't know who sings it but that 's all I think of lately are songs like that...I see a connection between certain songs that kinda fit my life right now.... Has that ever happened to any of you???
I just know that some of the things happening to me are kinda creepy. Coincidence or fate??? Why do certain things happen at a certain time almost every year...it's almost like a time clock, predictable, but you never know exactly what it is that's going to happen to you, or from what direction.
Why do we feel the way we feel sometimes? conscience? guilt? restless? fullmoon? change? boredom? or is it just what we hear everyday wherever we are at that makes our moods? do we feel "echoes" of the general mood and that affects us more than we know? how to be sure? We feel what songs say, if one notices. Songs change how we feel, makes us happy or sad, or brings us out of meloncholly moods and makes us want to dance and sing no matter who is listening or watching...
I'd better stop with this, because I could go on and on, I am thinking faster than I am typing.
What do you think???

I know exactly what you are talking about. My mother is very friendly, shes nice to everyone. When someone needs something, shes right there. If someone who asks for spare change on the streets to relatives who need a place to stay. Me I sometimes help and sometimes I say sorry can't help, even when I can. Each time I always think "how will this effect me". Sometimes music or a movies can dictate your moods. Then again I chalk it up to selfishness or hormones. Just try to do the best you can. That's all anyone can do.:)

:) Sharon don't worry sweetie. You are just at a crossroad in your life where you have become reflective and it causes you to question certain aspects of your life. Happens to all of us at one time or another. My POV is that life is constantly evolving. Our spirit doesn't always stay in sync with our body and mind. That's why meditation is so popular. It helps put and keep things in perspective. Karma is a very interesting subject and I personally use it as a guide. As for the music thing... The song lyric you were referring to is by Sheryl Crow who battled cancer a short while back. The reason we connect certain songs to our lives?? Because they are written by people who have either lived or know someone who has lived similar experiences and emotions to those you are currently experiencing. Music is an expression of emotion regardless of the genre. We connect to it because of that!!
And right now I have this song stuck in my head called Bubbly by Colbie Callait. But I listen to all types of music depending on my mood.
Giving of yourself or your time?? Many different ways to do it and some are less intrusive.
The Peace Fund is a great way to give of yourself. You can give time or money and you know for a fact that it is going to be put to good use in places where it is really needed.
Here's another way to give of yourself. It'll make you feel better and cost nothing. Smile at someone who's having a bad day or better yet...say something funny to make them laugh. Call someone up or email someone who has done something nice for you or has been helpful to you and say I thank you for making a difference in my day or in my life. You will make their day brighter and yours too. ;) It's also a Great destressor!! Good Luck with your Journey!!!

Thanks, CocoKnight:
I am feeling alittle better since reading your message up there. I do try to make people laugh even at my own expence sometimes, actually most of the time, but, lately, I'm just restless, and want to do something different, like travel, or try Kareoke, or try to buy a motorcycle and ride one when it gets warm, or Something....I just don't know What I feel I should do. I still read and write(not so much lately), and "get into trouble" on SaturdayNight(got more than a little tipsy) and I am still feeling the effects from it, I never drink more than 2 0r 3 beers or two magaritas, And, I always eat something, but this time I just got off work and I went out with Christine and David to play pool and have a good time, immediatley after work and hadn't taken no break for six to seven hours ago to eat something, which I should've done but didn't...I usually don't drink except once or twice a year, if that, just on occasion. Once in a while only with my Coconut Shrimp from Joe's Crab Shack,,,,gotta love it(YUMYUM).
Well, thanks again, and I'll talk to you later
Have a good day, and stay sage:eek: (f)(safe):D
Sharon.
