While reading a interview from the Director of "Captain Drake" about his new movie Lake Placid 2 he was also asked a couple of questions about Drake. It sure has been a while since hearing what was happening with it.

Anyway this is what he had to say.

Is there anything you can tell us about Captain Drake, or anything else you have lined up for the future?

David Flores: I can tell you lots about Captain Drake. It's basically a fantasy adventure movie that revolves around Sir Frances Drake, and it stars Adrian Paul. I don't know. It's really good so far. I'm really happy with it. We're still in the cutting phase right now.

When is that set to be released?

David Flores: It'll be a TV/video release only. It'll be the Sci-Fi network. Typically it takes a about a year to air, so maybe sometime next November.

Not much but a little something. Has anyone read or heard anything else.

Thanks haggie,
Looks like pretty much the same time-frame from shooting to Tv air-date as there was with Wraiths.
Something nice to look forward to in the autumn:)

I agree Stephy,Captain Drake does have the makings of a very good film and 'Fantasy Adventure' sounds as if it could be a lot of fun too. Almost makes me wish it was November already. :) :) :)

I talked with Rafael Jordan, the other day he is the director

drake is being edited right now, it's coming along great! these things usually air about a year after shooting, so i'd expect it late '08 hopefully, or early '09.

Francis Drake is a national hero in the UK. He sort of ranks along side Churchill, Lord Nelson, Douglas Bader, Lord Wellington, Montgomery and many others. Now think of a national hero where you live. Now think of how you could make fun of them in a movie? Get my drift?

I think a little gentle fun is all right, even for national heroes. Especially self-deprecating humor, so that the hero is portrayed as modest and aware of his own imperfections.:)
