I actually grew up in the North Houston area, just moved up to Dallas in 2003. Headed back that direction on Friday to see family in The Woodlands :)

When I read you lived California, I thought of the California Raisins. I loved those commercials. I love the MM commericials too.

HELP!! Question: I had to copy and paste to MissDonnie, How do ya'll take a quote from a posting to copy it to your post so the individual knows they are being addressed or answered? I haven't figured that one out yet.

We've got a TEXACO garage at the bottom of our street does that count?

LOL...wait...at the bottom of your street?? But sure that counts, Texas isn't just a place, it's a state of mind. I think I got that from the Travel New Mexico commercials or something, but it applies :)

So glad to see so many Texans! You know, I've only been in Dallas for a few years and even so, I was a poor college student in Denton, so haven't done too much shopping. Where are some really good places downtown? Only time I ever go inside the city limits is when I'm going to Deep Ellum. Maybe I should expand my horizons. :p

I may eventually leave the Dallas area, but I don't think I could ever live anywhere other than Texas.

I love the San Antonio area! I don't get down there enough though. I'm tired of doing the main touristy things and am always looking for more unique things to do down there. Let me know if you have suggestions :)

Hey....I'm from Baytown just outside of Houston, Now living in Pearland, which seems to have grown 10xs in the last year alone. I live, work, and play here and it seems like more people come every day. It's getting tougher to get across the street when I walk. Would love to have an email from you, a fellow lady texan.(smile)
I have lived in other places and wished Texas had places like Virginia has the mountains and the history. Down here it's just FLAT except up near and passed Waco. I used to live in Meridian, Texas, a very small town, then moved back to the city and that's when my life started downhill.(even though it's FLAT, here).(lol)
I;m still trying to figure out how all this stuff works. It's kind of hard to stumble on my own around this website that is just absolutely amazing.
Do you really think the BigMac really does look in from time to time?
C'ya,
Miss Sharon

Welcome to the boards fellow Texan! :) Glad to have you here! You're from my neck of the woods it seems. Grew up in The Woodlands, but spent lots of time in south Houston. And yes, Pearland is growing by leaps and bounds. LOL. It's crazy! Anyway, hope you enjoy the site...drop me a message if you get bored :p
