Okay, is it just me or is anyone else having problems finding this on the shelves to buy at Walmart, Target, FYE, their local video store, etc? Obviously, we can all go online and purchase this, but, this doesn't help the overall sale of the movie if nobody knows that it's even out. It's advertised on television as coming out on DVD today and I've even heard several comments from store employees during my run about town today that they've seen these commercials and they have no idea why they don't carry it on their shelves.

Personally, the way I shop for new movies is by going to a store and if it looks good on the shelf, I'll buy it. It's available to rent, yes. It's available at all video stores, but, that's not very helpful. People that see it first don't tend to want to buy it. Not because it isn't good (She adds quickly and nervously), but, because people don't tend to want to buy a movie that makes you feel 'ick' when the credits start rolling. The best way to sell it is to catch them unaware, so to speak.

It's also not very helpful if people that may want to own it when they see the commercial has to 'work' to get it by going online. I know I wouldn't if I weren't already a fan of the Highlander franchise.

With all that being said, please tell me it's just in the city I live in and not country wide.

~Heather
Who's going to take a cold shower because it's freakin' hot today running around in a car with no air conditioning all over town for no reason, it seems.

I'm updating on my dilligent quest for glory, yes, I am.

Thanks to a few Angels *Grins*, I got referred to Best Buy (Walmart just doesn't want to participate with other parts of the country, it would seem). Since Best Buy is in the town (MUCH smaller town, I might add) next to mine, I thought I'd call first as I really wasn't in the mood for another opportunity to waste really expensive gas. I thought I'd share the convo I had with the woman during my recon mission:

Sales Rep Clueless Chick: Thank you for calling Best Buy, this is Theresa, how may I help you?
Me: Yes, I'm wondering if you have a movie in stock.
Sales Rep Clueless Chick: Okay, which movie were you looking for, ma'am (Yes, she went THERE)?
Me: I'm looking for Highlander The Source.
Sales Rep Clueless Chick: High-what?
Me: Highlander
Sales Rep Clueless Chick: What?
Me: (IN a very loud slow tone) HI-LAN-DERRRR...AS IN HIGH LAND ER...AS IN A FREAKIN' CAR BRAND.
Sales Rep Clueless Chick: Highlander?
Me: Yes. It's called Highlander the Source or it could also be under Highlander 5 (Cause I really wanted to confuse this poor woman)
Sales Rep Clueless Chick: (Typing) Oh wow!!! We have a lot of listings under Highlander.
Me: Great! Can you tell me if you have Highlander the Source?
Sales Rep Clueless Chick: Let's see. The one I'm looking for...(Long pause where I can hear keys clicking)...Hm, the top one says "Highlander The Source" and the next one says....
Me: THE TOP ONE!!! Yes, that's the one I'm looking for.
Sales Rep Clueless Chick: Is that the one you're looking for?
Me: Yes, Can you tell me if you have any in the store now?
Sales Rep Clueless Chick: Hold on and let me check...(Pause where I hear more clicking) Okay, it says 23, so I guess that means we have it in the store...

I just thought I'd pass on the good news that all of Kern County isn't lost yet...Just clueless. :p

 Thanks for posting this Victoria. Finally an interview not filled with PR Fluff. I have been wondering what Adrian's personal take on The Source was. I think it was by far one of the best I've read. It wasn't a bad movie. I liked it. It was just different and I liked that about it too. It was a huge project and I applaude the work that went into it.

I liked it too. They could have filled in some information like who killed Amanda and his wife Kate. I assume because of the other immortals arounds him, they were the only ones alive. And did they really need to kill Joe?:(

Great interviews! I think AP "hit the nail on the head". From everything Ive read and my own viewing of the film, most folks agree with him to the acting being superb, the story was there, but needed to be fleshed out more. Or more time taken with it to expound on relationships; as well as, more explanation of the Source and how it developed.
I was not particularly impressed with the "look" of the film as it was too close to "computer anime" for my tastes, but I do understand the attempt at a darker look for the time period.
As AP says due to time and money restrictions, the film just misses the mark, however, it was a valiant attempt at a new direction for the franchise, and certainly nothing to brood about.

Thanks for the "heads-up" Victoria. These are great interviews and, once again, I think AP gets it exactly right on "The Source" and perhaps that is why so many fans did not care for the "concept". I cant wait to see "Nine Miles". AP seems to be very excited about it!:D
