Hello,

Why Don't Adrian write directly to us?
Have we a hope to read his message?

I was wondering the same thing...but I can imagine he's quite busy...and he does give much back to his fans.. I think its very thoughtful of him to even aknowledge any of us...or anything in this world of fandom. I was also wondering how cool it must be on Carmel's or Victoria's end of things...they get a phone call or an e-mail from him...let everybody know this or that...thanks...Boy I'd save everyone..no trash bin for those e-mails!!!:D

Ditto, what Appeace said. Sure it would be great to hear from him directly or to chat with him live online, but as HCLA said he is very busy. Hey I would love to be on Victoria's and Carmel's end too. :D

While I do envy Vic and Carmel their closeness of contact with Adrian, I do not envy the hard work, traveling distance, upholding of standards, and amount of time they put in. I would imagine it is very difficult "chasing" Adrian with his busy schedule and they do this so that we fans may feel a closeness with him that few fans enjoy with stars.
Much thanks to you, ladies. We appreciate all your sacrifices on our behalf and, Im sure, Adrian does also!;)

:D WELL SAID APPEACE AND HCLA!!
Adrian has so many fans and fansites that it would be impossible for him to acknowledge them individually. If he spent all his time thanking us individually he wouldn't have time to earn a living or have any time for a personal life.
I for one prefer a happy, healthy, working Adrian so I can look forward to checking out what he does next!

And on the bright side..he has always acknowledged his fans and how grateful he is of them. He never hesitates to add it even in his interviews that his fans "are the greatest"! And he does conventions all over the world so that his fans can meet him. I think we are very lucky! And I too would like to add my thanks to Victoria, Carmel and those behind the scenes that do so much to keep us connected!!

You have reason, but everyone do not live in the USA or Canada, me I live in France, I do not have the means; to go to the USA to see Adrian. However, large thank you with Victoria.

Helene, I'm sure you are frustrated. Maybe he will be in France someday. Hopefully soon, then you will be able to see him. I really hope so. And welcome.:)

Helene ,
he has been to France and loves your country and I'm sure he will probably go back there as soon as the opportunity arises. In 2006 he did a convention in Leeds, England and then joined some fans who had left that convention to go for a tour of Scotland. He currently lives in Hungary and has been working mostly on your side of the world. I doubt it will make you feel any better but he hasn't been where I live either and even if I could afford to travel to one of the Cons (which I can't) I still wouldn't be able to travel to them.
I do hope you get to meet him someday though.:)

:)Thank you very much to all of you.
It's the first time i write to a big star, and i had though that Adrian Paul was a little more accessible.
I hope to see him a day, but no too late.
Thank you so much

Yes Hèlene, I am agree with the dolls!!
I live in Italy, Florence and I was so lucky in 2006 to meet Adrian twice.
In Leeds for a Convention and in Budapest for Atjarocon Convention. He is a delicious and very gentle man, sweet and full of kindness.
I think that you know that Adrian's Mum was born and lived in Florence for many years and Adrian very soon visit Flo. Yesss...I am a very:p lucky lucky girl: I meet Adrian in Florence too.... It was in 1995 and I was "lightning" by his handsome and gentle manners.
So, Hèlen, don't worry: maybe there will be a Convention or other thing in Europe and we can go together!!!:D
Love,
Bea.

Yes Thankyou Vicotria and Carmel. You do an Awson Job!!!:D I haven't been able to go to any of the conventions either, but plan to aswell someday. Although I can say I have been to Scotland and to anyone who has never visited the Country it is a must see! My Grandfather was actually born there in Glasgow. Then immagrated when he was a lad. He went right through Ellis Island. I can remember him Talking about Scotland and how beautiful it is. When I went to Scotland in 2003 for a family reunion, my family tour all over Scotland for 3 weeks. I took over 1500 pictures!!!

Here are two of my pics from my trip.

you are not little devil... YOU ARE LUCKY DEVIL...:D I'm going someday...I have not been able to verify my Scottish roots...only Irish..the family on my mothers side is McCormick...but on my father's side is MacMeadhachain..both immigrated here..those records I have...and they did leave from Ireland...but according to records, McCormick on my mothers side was married to MacNicol....gaelic spelling is MacNeacail...they settled in the south..Alabama of all the forsaken places..No offense..I've been there and prefer the Pacific Northwest...anyways as it goes..as I understand there was a considerable amount of Scots in Alabama...they made good friends with the Cherokee, and so the family says we're Irish/ American Indian (Cherokee)..very little is tied to the Scottish side...or at least the family preferred to claim it that way..I know for fact that both family names exist in in all..MacMeadhachain/MacNicol/McCormick...only one is Scottish as far as I know and that MacNicol. My grandmother claimed her grandmother was full blooded Cherokee...but she was good for not gettin things straight, she did'nt have the common sense to pack to sand..and was the most gullibal person of our family..she'd believe anything..and was terriably superstisious. I've researched this a long time..it drives me nuts.

:) Thank you Béatrice, indeed, you have more more chance to see and talk with Adrian.I envy you; i'll be sure that I would be very impressed and will remain probably without voice if I see it one day.
In waiting, I am happy to converse with you. I hope that my English isn't too bad (It's easier for me to write to speak it - I am timid!!!)
See you soon

Hi Hèlen!!
don't worry for your English! I have the same problem, but write soon and talk with Highlander's friends is the best medicine to learn English as well.
Yes, Adrian lives in Budapest and he had repaired and old house in Budap. to live with Alexandra. Let's go to the video sents by our lovely Vic. on this group and enjoy!!:D
You can see how lovely is Adrian and sweet is Alex!;)

He lives there with his girlfriend, who is from there. They have a home that they featured on Hungarian t.v.. I think he's been there since 2000. If you can, look it up on Youtube and there is another site also. I can't think of it now. Someone else will know it.

HCLA, you might have more Scots blood than you think. Many of the Irish with names that start with Mc (instead of Mac) are descended from Scots that were transplanted by the English to to be soldiers to control the Irish. They often had family being held hostage by the English so that they'd be good soldiers against the Irish, and not defect to the Irish. Some were simply mercenaries. Their descendants now think of themselves as "Orange" Irish, and that's why we have Northern Ireland, you see.

now thats a piece of info I did'nt know, Ive read the term orange irish before in the book The story of the Irish Race , I must of missed something in the reading, as for Scottish or Irish....I naturally lean towards Scottish, would like to prove it though. So much history was recorded from the prspective of the English, and repressed, that it is difficult to trace back, and many sites I have visited don't even have the names in the system.

You've tried just googling the names? Many of the sites about family names will give you the history. Good luck!
