I love them all except the ones where Duncan turned evil. Oh yeah, and the ones with Amanda in them. Didn't really get into her character.
Wanda:D
 OH I loved the one with Evil Duncan!! But my absolute favorite was "To Be".

My favorite..or at least the one that was particularly endearing to my heart is "Studies in Light"....the older and fastly fading woman artist/photagragher..Duncan letting her know He sees her young and beautiful....and is still loved...the idea too, that a person can inspire ones whole life, as Duncan did with her..well its just amazing....and too I've been at the bedside of many...so much is said and thought...this part of the show..as Duncan's tears fell....my heart Just broke. BEAUTIFUL EPISODE.

Now for me "The return of Amanda"....:)
At moment, I am in my "romantic-period/sad" and I love see Adrian sweet and "in love" for Amanda, even if he is thinking Tessa still.:(
Amanda/Elizabeth is too beautiful in this episode!! Wonderful!
Next time (about my humour) I will know you another my fauvorite ep.:D
Love,
Bea.

I love them all! :)
They help me learn so much about men. Not the Al Bundy, 'Married With children' type men - but the kind I want to write about. Quite by accident, I started paying attention to the men as I watched the episodes. They are all so well written. I can imagine what drives the characters as I watch. I like writing the scenes in my head.
My written male characters are so much better for it. I'm beginning to think of the episodes as Men 101. :D So now instead of one of my characters having 'quickly left the room, angry tears stinging his eyes' :o he now 'stalked from the room, the anger in his eyes smouldering like the remains of hot coals'.

I love all the episodes with Duncan and Amanda as i love the chemistry between them. The Return of Amanda is my favourit. But i like Methos too and Till death. Actually i like Black Tower i find it an interesting concept and it shows Duncan's abilities as a soldier and special forces which were hinted at in the Blitz.

Its very hard to choose 1 favourite episode and rather like Bea mine tend to change according to my mood.
Duende will always be there because I love the dance and it has for me the best sword fights of all.
Shadows is another because I'm rather fond of a deeply troubled Duncan. Adrian portrayed all that angst so well.
Mountain Men was great.
I must confess I adored evil Duncan, I've lost count of how many times I have watched Deliverance and wished they had kept him that way for a couple more episodes.:D
For me the six seasons ended on a high note too as Not To Be was so wonderful.

I must confess, I liked evil Duncan too.:p The scene in Deliverance where he's in the bathroom and looks in the mirror.... and licks his lips....
Good. God. Almighty. This chic almost lost it!!;)

:p I totally agree that Deliverance was probably the best. And yep that scene had a lot to do with it. I think it was an exceptional performance by Adrian. The way he was able to make the character change...it was truly as if they were two different men.
There was another epi with Duncan and Amanda where the bardge is rocking and....well I'll just need to watch it again to get the name of it... But the scene was really funny!!:D

I love AP in every scene:D!
But my favorite episode is "dramatic licence"
It`s just so funny and looks like they are all laughing about themselves.
The second one is "till death" but also "revenge is sweet"
In general I prefer the bright and " brilliant " MacLeod , the comedies or romantic stories.

Sorry, but I don`t get it - do you have one of these hypermodern freezers with tv screen and included dishwasher or why are you sitting in front of your freezer all day long?
:D Alex I wish I had such a freezer. Mine is just an ordinary double door freezer with an ice maker.
When I say I'm going to the freezer it is because I'm trying to be a good girl and not comment on how hot the pic is. :p

OH Coco,please don`t go to the freezer!:D
I`d love to read your comments...(perhaps I should go to the freezer then to cool down a bit...)
..or i could watch one of my favorite highlander episodes and start dreaming:)
Have a day full of dreams!

As I was reading through this, I started thinking of my favorite episodes and just wanted to share 2 of my favorite moments. I'm sorry I don't know the actual episode names but in season 3, at the end where he had just killed his friend (Brian?), (the one who came after Duncan because he was so high on drugs), when Duncan is sitting on the floor of the garage and crying, it just made me want to reach right into the tv and comfort him. And in the last episode of season 6 right before Duncan & Tessa make love, when Duncan is looking at her and so full of emotion that the tears fall run down his face, it almost made me cry (in fact, I think the first time I saw this, I did cry). It was such excellent acting by Adrian that I forgot for a moment that Duncan is just a character. Adrian's acting abilities are so exceptional, that he has made a character seem like a real person.

I love them all - for different reasons. The ones that really stand out for me (today :)) though are Deliverence, Pharoah's Daughter, the Prophecy, Comes a Horseman, Revelation 6:8 trilogy, and Duende.
Deliverence, because of the fight scene at the end between Duncan and the mountain man. They were each fighting so desperately. It also seemed that Duncan revealed more to Tessa about immortal fights than he had ever intended to. It seemed to take a while for him to get back to himself.
Pharoah's Daughter, because of the terrible waste of her death. She was beautiful, accomplished yet so full of hate that all she could think of was vengence. It made me wish that she had been awakened under different circumstances - maybe the outcome could have been different for her.
The trilogy because of Cassandra. She was beautiful and gifted, alive with the wisdom gained over a millenia. But still, she had the scars of being a victim at the hands of the Horseman. Yet at the end, she found in herself the mercy to walk away from Methos.
Duende because of the dance, of course. Also I couldn't get over that Otavio, knowing that Anna's life was fleeting compared to his, still went out of his way to ruin it. The vindictiveness of his actions over her lifetime is just unforgivable. I'm glad that Duncan freed her and her daughter from his abuse.
As for my favorites tomorrow, who knows? :D

I love the dark side of Adrian. He makes it so tempting in those episodes, that you want him even more. I'm just drawn to the bad boy image, but the good in the character of Duncan always wins out which is also great.

I just got through going through the entire series and now am at season 6. I have to honestly say that the the last episode of season 5 and the first 2 episodes of season 6 are my ultimate favorite episodes. it's so intense and suspensful and reminds me somewhat of his dark quickening but on a grander scale.
What is your favorite episode(s)?

The first episode I ever saw was Duende and it's still my favorite.
I wrote a poem too.
The Passionate Dance
The passion of the dance becomes unveiled.
The rustle of her dress enthralls.
The music continues to go into you as
the dance becomes Duende.
The fire in his eyes looking to her, then
stamp their feet in unison.
The touch of hands makes them feel depths
of their souls becoming one.
He holds her tight and feels her breath
with the passion of the dance.
She feels his heat and strength of desire,
and longs for more than his touch.
The dance must end, but they want to go on,
and continue to the end of time.
For what is love, but a moment of time
when the dance becomes Duende.

Oddly enoguh one of my favorite episode was the pilot:
Because of the passion between Duncan and Tessa.
But if I was forced to pick an ultimate favorite I think it would be Band of Brothers, because it introduced one of the most amazing character's that was also the most short lived: Darius. :(
His loss both in real life and on screen were extremely painful.

I have a few favorites: "The Darkness"; there is such emotion at the end when he is standing in the middle of the loft (Dust in the Wind playing) just getting one last look and holding tight to every feeling ever experienced with Tessa, "Homeland"; it was just a perfect episode (AP's first stab at directing) and "Not to Be"; it summed up everything that we loved and shared for six seasons. Sorry, I can't pick just one...

The first episode I ever saw is also my favourite - although I love all of them :)
When Duncan sits at the hospital bed of his love that has aged and is dying in "Studies in light" and those huge tears run down Adrian's face I realized what a wonderful Actor Adrian is and became a fan of the actor Adrian Paul and once I found out the wonderful work PEACE does for children I also became an admirer of Adrian Paul the man

I would have to say Homeland for one of my first choices because I love Scottland and would love to go there myself. I also love the song "Bonnie Port Moore". I love "Duende" because of the unique sword fight the De Stresa and of course Flemenco Dancing, beautiful! "The Gathering" because of the relationship between Duncan and Connor. The "Blitz" , when Duncan and his lover are trapped, he talks about Colorado as you see scenes of the states beauty that make me homesick. "Bad Day in Building A", I just love the way he whips the bad guys all over the place. Of course "Something Wicked", because Duncan bad is hot and very appealing. I can't choose either! I have to say also "Deliverence", he fights himself, his good side against his bad I guess showing that even good can be tempted by evil.:p :)

Yes it is hard to decide which episode is our favorites. However, the episode that I believe was title "Shadows" (Duncan thought he was going crazy and seeing a man in monks cloak cutting his head off) is one of my very favorites.
Adrian shows a side of Duncan that is very vulnerable. With all he had seen and experienced in his 400 years these dreams have totally thrown him. THe progression Adrian makes from being totally sane to slowly descending in despair. Then he sees the ring and survival instinct comes flaming back.
