I wanted to forward this info from Jeff Whitaker on the HLWW yahoo group. I figured some of us could help with this!:)
Ok, today I finished the last set of modifications to my web page to
help us see what is happening with voting. I've added some sections
that show:
1) The projected number of voting days left (69 as of today). This
uses 10,000,000 total votes as the stopping point and then the average
number of votes during the last 7 days of voting divided into the
number of votes left. As the average shifts, so can the number of
days left, so I'll warn you this may not be perfectly linear from day
to day.
2) The projected final tally and ranking for the top 25 nomination
shows. This uses the same method on every show in the list each day
to compute a new final tally and then ranks them.
3) A projected final tally column on the Highlander voting history so
we can see how our average is affecting the endpoint.
The good news is we are definitely in contention to get Highlander
into the Top 20 nominations which gives the show a lot more visibility
than being anywhere farther down the list.
The bad news is my projections show us ending at 23rd right now if we
can't increase our average voting just a bit. We've been down a
little the past few days after a burst of 120s, so it looks worse than
it did just a week ago when the projection showed Highlander ending at
#20.
If you want to see all this for yourself, you can look at my web page at:
http://jeff-whitaker.com/highlander
Please, please help us vote over the next 69 (or so) days! It will
only take about 20-30 more votes per day to get us ahead (if nothing
else changes).
You can vote at:
http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/nominations. html
Just enter Highlander in the the text box and hit the "Click Once to
Vote" button. You can only vote once an hour, but please do what you can.
Thanks!
Jeff
