LOL Coco I don't think drinking the Med was the cause but the amount of Ouzo and Metaxa I had might have something to do with it.:D
I was having a conversation with a friend about the interesting things you find washed up on the beach and well........ my over active imagination just kicked in when I saw that picture.
I'm pleased most folks seem to like it. If nothing else it was an interesting creative challenge.

I haven't had chance to do much with my pics yet, but VG has put together an amusing little clip combining some pics from this years and last years trips to Greece.

I adore the place and the people and we did have a real blast last year and this year.
Mind you its probably a good job we came home when we did. After 3 weeks there I needed "drying out" in more ways than one.:D
Too many "Greek Lovers" could do serious damage!!!

Your Merman is quite handsome. And that water looks very tempting in this 90 degree F. heat.;)
I have a weakness for authentic Greek Salad. And they have a beef dish made with rosemary that is to die for. I can never remember the name of it though.
I used to spend Christmas with a greek family and they were always a joy to be with. Miss Sophia always insisted that god gave the kids two hands so they could hold more of her greek cookies. I always found it interesting that all children carry the same middle name as their father. And don't get between a group of greek men when they are soused on Ouzo and watching football!!:eek::D

One thing I have discovered is Ouzo makes your tongue go very numb very quickly:D

That first Merman is our son Lawrence. He spent hours and hours diving for shells. He looks much more handsome above the water though.:)

I love Greek food and I agree the salads are very addictive. Never quite tastes the same when I make one at home and I think its because the feta we get here isn't as good.
There is one beef stew with whole baby onions that's particularly yummy. Its called Stifado and it was wonderful.
I found a recipe for it on this site and I'm going to try it out in the winter.
