Hi Angel,

I've only seen a Katana on film. I understand they are very long - just a few inches short of 4 feet. No wonder your Mom is nervous! :)

I haven't collected items from Adrian's films, but I do have the Image book. It is filled with moments from when he was a baby until he was about 12 (I'm guessing) and I'm happy that he shared them.

I've got one of those replica katanas too.:)
The thing I have that I like best though is one of the tops Adrian wore in Tracker.:D

I have been wanting to get a Katana for some time, but want the right one. Plus I want to know how to use it. I plan on studying martial arts after I have my second child. That way I don't need to been concerned with kicks to the abdomen when I am trying to get pregant. My sister used to have a Katana but it was a short one. Anyway, your mom does have reason to be worried. they are extremely sharp. I once sliced an Orange in half while it fell through the air. Clean slice too! Lucky shot aswell since I don't have any training with swords.

Beware the evil red jewel, sign of a cheap HL sword! :D If you want to ask questions about the Highlander swords or about swords generally, you can go to ask at:

Be sure to tell the guys that you are new to collecting HL swords, so they give you a useful answer instead of a confusing one! They've mystified me several times. :)

As Stephy said I also have one of Duncan's katanas but what I like best is the belt Adrian wore in The Source that Alexandra chose for him

I tried for this gorgeous coat however someone else got it

Well Cool there is only one place I have ever bought a sword, I have 4 of them now, and that it actually in Toledo where Marto makes them and you can examine before you buy. Even there you have to be careful of the shops that are pure tourist traps and sell rubbish.

Buying a sword in Toledo sounds like the perfect souvenir!

I have also bought the Duncan McCleod sword and the Connor. I have them both hanging on a sword rack in my stair hallway. They are the cheaper version unfortunately (they were my very first purchase on ebay and my first swords ever lol). But I still love them. They are really long and still very sharp so I had to put them up high where my son wouldn't be able to reach them. Actually that's true with all my swords. My husband and I have collected dozens together. I have a claymore and several others hanging throughout the house. Some are very real and combat ready and others well not so much very pretty to look at. As far as being concerned with chopping heads off (lol) that's hilarious because that's what my brother said that I'd do if I ever got my first sword-but he's still alive so I guess he doesn't have to worry about that lol.:)

You've shown great restraint. ;)

I'll say. Sometimes I just want to chop hubby's head off, but then I would regret it in the morning. :eek:So he gets to keep his head.

I used to have the replicas of the dragon head Katana, a set of three.

But I gave them as a gift to my niece on Christmas.

I still have a MacLeod sword!
