I went to http://www.whitehouse.gov to watch the presidential weekly address from 1/24. It's in the blog.

In that entry, there's a link to the details (or metrics) of the recovery plan. In the recovery plan, there's a link to a site that will come online when the recovery plan has been passed. It's at http://www.recovery.gov/

Is this cool, or what?!!? :D

Thanks for the link. It gives me hope.

Hope does help but as for the Economic Recovery, the Obama plan is being rejected by Republicans. House Republicans have drafted an alternative. Except for an extension of unemployment benefits, it consists exclusively of tax cuts.

Oh that will do it. It did so well under Bush.

I also heard Obama's plan had something reguarding environmental issues attached to it.
You would think the Republicans would have gotten the message by now that their way doesn't work and does not represent the will of the masses.

...well, at least the House has passed it. :) Now for the Senate...

I had to laugh this evening: the opposition was congratulating itself on having reduced the proposal to a reasonable size. You know the Obama team knows that the first rule of negotiation is to ask for more than you need so the opposition can feel good about making a good bargain by talking you down. In fact Obama said something about that strategy last week, but implied that he hadn't done that. Sure he didn't.

:D YEP LD. They always make the mistake of assuming Democrats or people who are kind and caring are terminally stupid. Guess the joke is on them.
Really shows just how much they care about our economy though. They sit on their thumbs and grandstand while more and more companies are closing and more jobs have disappeared.
