A student told me the other day that he didn't know who I was so he googled me. Now he wants to work with me. That's great, I'm glad he was impressed - but impressed by what??? :confused: The last time I looked myself up on-line there was practically nothing there.
Not anymore! Because departments want their stuff on line, my entire work history seems to have made it to the internet. :eek: I mean, we're talking about work I did years ago, as well as more recently, and no one asked my permission to post it, even when I was first author. I guess that's because it is published work or work that was open to the public.
I thought that stuff only happened to famous people.
