Could it be "clamato," maybe? Clamato is a drink made by the Motts company from a mixture of clam broth and tomato juice. They describe it as "a light and refreshing zesty drink seasoned with a blend of tomatoes, onions, celery, spices and a dash of clam," but I think it's nasty. Their apple juice is nice, though.

Tasty?!? maybe as a mixer. Put a shot of vodka in that glass with the clamato and you won't care how it tastes. ;)

There is nothing like a tall cold clamato bloody ceasar with a chunk of lime in it and lots of spices on the rim on a hot summer evening. :) Yum.....

Not really, I sampled it in the store once and told the sample lady it would be better with a shot of Vodka. She agreed but said she could help me. ;)
I'm not a big clam drink knid of person.

:D Oh, that would take a LOT of vodka for me! Clam juice is best in chowder, I dislike tomato juice until it has been cooked into sauce, and I'm allergic to celery. Nuff said.

Probably it's the same drink she was thinking of, but in Italian they spell it differently?
I'd still like to try it with some vodka and some celery and some tabasco sauce and anything else that might disguise the clam juice.:p

Cool Water:

"Moderato Clamato" from what I looked up on the Italian translator means "moderately eased" and is often used as a dynamic marking for both song texts in the Latin and Italian.:)

Could it have been calmato rather than clamato? Calma means calm in a lot of Latin-based languages.

Of course, if you put enough vodka in the Clamato, it would certainly have a soothing effect! :D

Still, no matter how sweetly you sing, or how moderate you make it, I'm not drinking the stuff!

Vodka doesn't need to be ruined. That drink just sounds Grooooossssss! Let alone actually pouring that down your throat.

Boy, was I tired and my brain was out to lunch that day because I couldn't seem to spell calmato right. I can just blame it on the dog and say it was all his fault.

A drunken dog, there's an awful image! We've had drunken birds from fermented berries; they flap around and the cats eat them if you don't rescue them, but no drunk dogs. I suppose if the dogs got drunk, the cats would just laugh.

Of course, Carnegie didn't say he was drunk. Kat's dogs were apparently eating beans the other day, and you know how horrible and distracting THAT can be, especially if you can't open the windows for the cold!

Carnegie, all the practice in the world won't get you onto that stage if you're drinking Clammy Marys instead of playing sweetly! What do you play?

Too true, personally I would never insult vodka that way. Have you tried Absolute? It's a brand that has all kinds of flavors available. I'm thinking of trying it even thought my hard drinking days are way behind me. lol Is vodka tasting in vogue?

The last time I took watermelons to a picnic, it was an HL meet-up. The loons, I mean Highlander fans, that I was with whacked the little head-sized melons up with swords and got in trouble with the park rangers! And there wasn't even any vodka!

Thank you, Carnegie. I think a day without humor is worse than a day without wine! So, you are a serious musician, then. Good luck, and I hope we all get to hear you soon. As for the drunken dog, DID the cats laugh?

Well, app, there is a law about weapons in the parks. The mess was made with wooden bokken's but Matt had pulled his katanas out of his car trunk. When the ranger came to investigate, Blade Lover walked around to draw the officer's eye so Matt could get the blades covered and the trunk closed while Blade said, "Oh, we just have wooden ones." Then she took the ranger to Sledge Eater's truck so he could show the ranger the bokkens instead. Very quick thinking on Blade's part! The ranger made the group clean up all the watermelon mess, though, and that wasn't unfair. We did have fun.

Bwaaaaa---what a predicament! I used to do some "practicing" with my katana, but gave up "slicing things" when the neighborhood kiddos started coming over to watch. Too dangerous and I didnt want the youngsters to get the wrong message. Now we just play hide n seek (sometimes they hide so well I get a good 5 min rest--lol)
