I wasn´t sure where to post this but I thought it might be appropriated here.
Yesterday my Dad passed away and it wasn´t easy for him.We had to bring him to a nursery home last week,he had the parkinson desease for 20 years now(beig only 70 last december) and he got a pneumonia there. After a week of hope and desperation he finally suffocated yesterday at noon.
Thank God my Mom was with him so he wasn´t alone in his last hour. And finally he is released of all the pain and agony and ,that is my firm believe, he is happy now and free!
We are all very sad. My little daughter said ,I shouldn´t be so sad, he is sitting on a cloud up there and watching us. what a beautiful idea from a nine year old girl.

My deepest condolences, Alexandra. What a precious blessing is your daughter.
"Out of the mouth of babes"---often come messages from God. I firmly believe that your dad and mine are now with Him, free of all pain and sickness, going about His work of looking out for their loved ones here.

I too have aged, ailing parents and have to accept that our parting will come sooner rather than later. Whenever it happens, I'm sure I wll think it is far too soon.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family, Alexandra. I hope your daughter's words are a source of lasting comfort to you all.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Alexandra. My mother died of Parkinsons - it is a very hard disease to deal with, and good to it leave behind.

My heart and prayers go out to you.
My father-in-law had Parkinson's, watching his gradual decline wasn't easy to deal with at all. He passed away 5 years ago.
Lighting many candles for you and your family.
:( Alex my post seems to have disappeared so I left you a message at Mooseville.
I am very sorry. My thoughts are with you and your family. It will get easier and I sure his spirit will always be with you. My Dad passed of Emphysema a couple of years ago so I know what you are feeling.

Alex, I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my own Dad, after a year in a nursing facility, 5 years ago tomorrow. Please know that he will always be with you, in heart, soul, and mind. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of my dad, in some way or another. Cherish the memories.

I am so sorry for you loss Alexandra. But you are right he is free now. In time Death comes to us all, it truely is the only guarantee in life. It makes the small moments count that much more and cherished. Even when the ones we love are gone, they still live on in our hearts. And even though Death may separate us for a time, we wont be forever. Just remember the day will come when you see them again. Love is what holds us together and we should all hold onto it and never let go.
