Ok so I had asked the question in the "Ask Adrian" section a while ago, but I figured I'd bring up the point here as well. Who would love to see Adrian as James Bond as much as I would?? I dont understand why they havent approached him with it, he's perfect for the role, and he is much better then that new guy they having playing Bond these days, I actually stopped watching James Bond movies entirely because I dont like this new Bond actor, he just doesnt look like James Bond. There were polls out just after Pierce Brosnan finished doing the Bond films, and they were looking for a new actor to play Bond, and Adrian Paul was the first choice on all the lists, how come he didnt get the part? =( I think he would make an amazing James Bond, what do you all think?

Adrian would be an amazing Bond - however sadly the owners of the franchise had their own choice

For me, there is no comparison; AP has it all the way. When he wasn't chosen as the next bond, I decided not to watch Bond anymore.

I completely agree. Too bad there is just no justice in the movie business. Actors aren't chosen by acting nor by looks - just by who they know

I havent watched Bond since Sir Sean and do not plan to change unless they get Adrian. However, I think since they decided to go with the "pre Bond" story line, Adrian will not be considered. He was considered when Brosnan was chosen but that was during Highlander days and, if I remember correctly, the shooting schedule between the movie and the series was going to be iffy???
It seems that Hollywood believes that Adrians fans are a small, zealous group and not worth listening to.:(

You all have most interesting views on the role Mr. Paul should play.

Have any of you stopped to consider his view? Possibly taking on the
BJB role might 'stifle' his own future ambitions, or even cramp his current
lifestyle... taking ever more precious time from his friends and family.

All things actors/actresses place into consideration prior to accepting
any possible roles I'm sure. Seem to me Sir Sean enjoyed his lengthy
(and well performed...) stint as the memorable BJB.... this also in some
ways 'tagged him' for taking part in other available roles that may have
come along.

One must be cautious within one's career not to take on certain character
roles that may prevent future possible role acceptance. Recognition comes
in many forms, as easily as it can hinder individual advances.

If Mr. Paul decides, upon being asked, then it shall be his decision. We
all are allowed freedom of choice, including actors and actresses.

I would also enjoy watching Bond films casting Mr. Paul, but not if it will
prevent him from pursuing future possibly more exciting roles in his career.

Remember, your wishes and intents may not always be the best suitable
for the individual involved. Don't push, but accept the screen charisma
this man offers to all. Acting is NOT all fun and games and can be quite
literally tiring, physically and mentally.

Proper decisions along the chosen career path makes or breaks you at
the box office, and with those governing who gets to do what and when.

Personally, I look forward to all the future brings from Mr. Paul's career
abilities, Bond or not.... he's just good at what he does.

I pray he takes extreme precautions and is careful in life so he may be
with us for some time to come. Good decent actors are not all that easy
to find.

They should give Adrian a chance. I can't stand Daniel Craig.

First off I'd like to thank everyone for their responses. I would also like to address this. Seeing as how I do not personally know Adrian Paul, or what his ideal situation in the movie industry is, I cannot say that James Bond is something that he wants, however in my post I was just pointing out something I had observed. Adrian Paul was the leading person on all the polls after Pierce Brosnan stepped down, and I was curious as to why he didnt get the part. I love Adrian Paul's career and think he is an amazing actor, and if he would not accept the role of James Bond, it would be a decision I would respect, but I was just curious as to what happened with that situation, as well as if anyone knew if he had been presented with the part or what his views on playing James Bond are.

Yes actors are definitily chosen by who they know but also their ability and if they will fit the role. How successful a movie becomes will also effect an actors offers. Look at Leonardo Dicaprio, he didn't have much notority before Titantic and that movie put him on the fast track for big time stardom. Maybe this would be a good question for Ask Adrian.

This question was brought up at conventions before and Adrian stated that he wanted to play James Bond. (Not like Daniel Craig is playing him, I think, )but more like Sean Connery.
The movie industry has other ideas. Maybe they didn't want to copy Sean Connery too closely. Such is our loss.
