Could it be "clamato," maybe? Clamato is a drink made by the Motts company from a mixture of clam broth and tomato juice. They describe it as "a light and refreshing zesty drink seasoned with a blend of tomatoes, onions, celery, spices and a dash of clam," but I think it's nasty. Their apple juice is nice, though.

Tasty?!? maybe as a mixer. Put a shot of vodka in that glass with the clamato and you won't care how it tastes.

There is nothing like a tall cold clamato bloody ceasar with a chunk of lime in it and lots of spices on the rim on a hot summer evening. Yum.....

Not really, I sampled it in the store once and told the sample lady it would be better with a shot of Vodka. She agreed but said she could help me.
I'm not a big clam drink knid of person.

Oh, that would take a LOT of vodka for me! Clam juice is best in chowder, I dislike tomato juice until it has been cooked into sauce, and I'm allergic to celery. Nuff said.

What does it mean in Italian? Did you really mean Clamato?

Probably it's the same drink she was thinking of, but in Italian they spell it differently?
I'd still like to try it with some vodka and some celery and some tabasco sauce and anything else that might disguise the clam juice.
