I'm really looking forward to this convention. Even more so since a day has been set aside for the fans to get together and discuss HL and fandom. I love the fact that we can get together and connect before all the official con activity involving the guests. ;)

I'm looking forward to this as well.
This board was the best idea to let us touch base with each other before then. Now if I can only convince my husband that I NEED to go on the tour as well...
I'm also looking for to the Convention. I'm also looking forward to going to Vancouver since I've never been there before. And it will also me be to match faces to e-mail names.

Is he ever going to be at a convention in the midwest of the USA? I live by St. Louis and we have ARCHON every year! Mira Furlan is going to be the GOH this year! And I love her work, but it would be wonderful to see Adrian at a convention! :D

Hi Carmel,
Thank you so much for the updated information. And may I just say that you are a very lucky lady that you have got to meet all of our Highlander Hunks, as we'll as the other stars, producers, writers, etc.... ;) Plus, you were in the new movie "The Source," Lucky you! Hehehe, I seen the pictures of you, John Mosby along with the contests winners or bidders (can't recall which) that got to be an extra in the movie. :p
What is a "buotique," I've never heard of that I don't think.
I'm a new member here, I just joined today. I am also a member on the HLBB and APFC. I have the same name. :)

I would love to know the answer to this question myself. I life about an hour & a half away from St. Louis. So I could really go to a convention there & I have always wanted to meet Adrian Paul. ;)

After the successes of the past HLDU/HLWW events, Vancouver ought to be the ultimate experience. Seems like soooo many new people are heading to this one. Ought to be fun!

I'm in the throws of debating whether to go....I would have to go on my own (never done that before), my other half would have to stay home with the kids and the last time I flew was 12 years ago! Hence the debate...Should I just go for it, put aside being completely petrified  and hopefully have a great time and meet new friends...or stay home and read about it here in familiar surroundings!!!!

Thanks for the encouragement...I've just sent Nancye an email to ask her what the full cost will be including the tour (if I'm going to go for it I might as well go the whole 9 yards!)...Since I'll be own my own it looks like I might have to pay a $600 supplement! For a once in a lifetime trip though...acht! now I've got a new dilema on my hands! hehehe Will wait and see what Nancy has to say...From what I can gather there would have to be an extra nights accomodation aswell to cover the end of the convention and the start of the tour. Just hoping I'm not too late!!

Anyhoo I'll save up for the next one and get my foot in the door quick!!!, int the mean time...I spose I could placate myself with a dvd or two from last year!:D

Hi
Wow great site. I want to welcome any newbies that are coming to there first "Highlander con this October. Anita and I are putting together gift packages for you. If you are coming alone you wil not be alone unless you want to be. I will be posting hints later as we draw closer to October. All of us went to our first Highlander con (many of us alone) I know I did and I was scared to death. I roomed alone (that lasted 2 1/2 cons)
When you room with another fan its like the con continues you go back to your room you chat like teenages. You will find Highlander fans will become your extended family. You will find that your new Highlander friends wil be closer to you. Also they will be there for you in happy times and sad times. They will be there when you need to rant, cry, rave, ask for advice. Welcome Newbies even if you not coming to a con. Adrian is a wonderful person, He is wonderful to his fans. If your coming to this con you will see just how nice he treats his fans. I could go on for hours so I will just say welcome to all the newbies. Remember you will not learn unless you ask a question, No question is dumb we all have had them. Adrian's message bb is a long time coming I welcome it back thanks to Jen And Victoria for bringing this mb back to life.
Welcome to the family.
Love

I am sooooooooooooooooooooo ready to be there... Is it October yet?!?!?! LOL!!! Can't wait to see everyone and have a great time in Hollywood, North...LOL!!:D
I say that again:
I wish, I could be there *sigh* but it?s too far and too expencive from my place :(
It would to be nice to meet you all and to meet AP himself. In 2005 was Adrian in Germany, Bochum and I!!!???!!?? I don?t knew it *aaargh*
Bochum is a city around 90 km far from my place or 1 hour to drive with the car...March 2006 he was in Leeds, UK and I???? Right, you are so right, I don?t knew it!!! I could bite myself anywhere...you know!
My friend, who was in Bochum at the "Comic B?rse" and she met AP(took a picture with him), told me that a few weeks later at the German City Con (Stargate Convention) in N?rnberg. Shi* happens!!
But at that Convention I met Peter DeLuise, who played in Highlander- the series, season 1 in episode "family tree".
He was with his two brothers- David and Michael- and they are all so cool and funny and very nice. I enjoyed (?) to sat down on PdL?s knees *lol*
I had lots of fun with my German, Netherlands, Italian, France and US- Stargatefriends.
I wish I had the same with the Highlander and AP fans around the world...
*sorry for the spelling defaults, who?s find one...it?s yours :))*

I am glad so many are going to be at the VC convention. I am looking forward to it, and seeing everyone. I am also looking forward to seeing the city itself. sounds like a number of us are going to be hanging about for a while after the event, wrangling each other to take our pictures with otherwise insignificant objects.....as usual....don't think there are any VC manhole covers tho.....but there are the sulfur piles.

I am still hoping and praying that someday....SOMEDAY....Adrian will grace the midwest of the United States with his presence......to promote a movie or something...ANYthing! I have been an AP fan FOREVER and he never comes to the midwest....<pouts>
We have some really great conventions here....ARCHON is held in Collinsville, IL and it gets bigger and bigger every year! This year we have Mira Furlan from "Lost" & "Babylon 5" as the GOH! And hometown girl NY Times Best Selling Author Laurell K Hamilton is ALWAYS there!
You listening Adrian? LOL! Come to Archon! Or any Con in the midwest....please....pretty please! You have TONS of fans who would love to come see ya! Just saying. :D

Hi MagicPrincess,
You do have friends that are fans...US! My first Highlander convention was the Anaheim Celebration and I didn't know anyone. I just went by myself and I was so enthralled that it didn't matter. By Jim's concert, I did make a friend. And once home on-line I discovered more links, made more friends and went to more conventions. I would call it life changing.
You can never have too many friends.
Hope to see you and everyone else that can go to Vancouver!
P.S. Smallville is taped there too. ;)

You will love this. A Stargate friend of ours "won" a walk on part for Stargate Atlantis (donation to Make-a-Wish, $9000). She is taking my daughter (who can be on set and everywhere except in the scene) and they will be there for a week because they don't know which specific day they scene will be shot. They are already scoping out where Smallville and Supernatural are being taped. I will find out more once they get back in July..........lol, Vancouver here we come.

i see a lot of folks talking about going to other events and getting a picture with Adrian. i have yet to manage this :( how about a thing where they have a make a donation to peace and get a picture with adrian deal, we could even make it using your own camera. who would not want to do that. i would. still really looking forward to getting together with everyone on vc.

i'm ready for my close up mr. Paul......:D

Hello: I just need to know when the next convention is going to be and where so I can save up, put in for vacation at work and make arrangements to go.
I would love to meet everyone who "lurks" here and make new friends. Meet Adrian, Peter, and Jim. This would be my first vacation away from home, always stay at home and watch tv or dvd's or something normal. I just need to get away from it all and do something exciting, life has become soooo bloody boring for me. The only things I really look forward to is watching Supernatural on Thursdays, anything with Adrian in it, and Stargate episodes, Atlantis also.
Please --- can someone tell me when and where the next one is going to be?
Desperately,
Sharon
