Your family is more than a little nuts. And you definitely should think about moving on.
This doesn't mean you need to completely cut your family out of your life...
But it does mean you need to create a healthy support system of your own. One that doesn't involve your family.
Even if you've already made a clean break from your past, it still may be haunting you. Checking in with a therapist from time to time is probably a good idea.

Thanks ~mj~. I took the dysfunctional family quiz. I was shocked! It says my family is 15% dysfunctional. That's pretty good according to the quiz.

No, mj, I didn't find them quite accurate.
I answered "not sure" on most of them and that came up as the result...I needed more options to answer to be more accurate in my answer to each question...

This makes me laugh...36%. Man, I feel so much better about my family!! :-) Actually, I am shocked.... Could it have been my lies on the answers? Just kidding! :-) I mean how much abuse is "excessive"? That just cracks me up! Is any "abuse" is excessive?

I didn't really need to take the test-I know that my family is super dysfunctional. It was interesting to learn we are 91% dysfunctional...I would have guessed 110%:p

The crazy one in our family is my brother-in-law. But he is being booted via divorce...so you really can't count him anymore. What I mean as crazy is he baricated himself in the bathroom with a 22 rifle threatening to kill himself with his four children in the house asleep. Total Nut job, keeps getting fired from jobs and isn't paying any child support. Everyone else for the most part is normal so to speak.
