Hi Everyone,

As l mentioned early l am trying to organise something to make it easier for everyone to find each other when meeting up at the Jumpcon's.

The idea l have is for everyone to be wearing a PEACE t-shirt. I am still waiting to find out on available sizes at the moment as we have two designs in storage. For only the cost of postage we will send out one of the t-shirts as well an an Adrian Paul badge. This is also a great way to help advertise the PEACE Fund at every Convention. If you think you would like an extra t-shirt for during the Conventions we can talk about that also at a very good price.

So in short all you will need to do is look for the PEACE t-shirt with an Adrian Paul badge on it.

What does everyone think?

MeridianXO has also come up with a great idea to make it easier for people going to the same Convention to meet up and chat. I will be starting a thread for every Convention Location as an area to help touch base with each other.

If there is a PEACE table set up at each Jumpcon, maybe people could pick up badges and t-shirts there. Just thinking it might be simpler to mail a batch of things to the person in charge of the table instead of coordinating mailing them to a lot of individuals.

I really like the idea of badges and t-shirts to identify each other. Especially the badges since sometimes I'll put a sweater or jacket on if the room is cold, but I can always pin the badge on the outside of that.

This sounds like a great idea! We could pick up the tee-shirts and badges at the convention and donate the money that was saved on postage to PEACE :)

Sorry to throw in a negative aspect here. I loathe negativity, personally. But, I also can't stand to see negativity or trouble happen that could have been avoided. Sooo, here goes: Then you have to contend with those who aren't in the APFC when they witness giving away free tee shirts and badges and somehow trying to explain to them, without sounding condescending, that the people getting the tee shirts are 'special' (Whether you use this word or not, doesn't matter. It's what the person will hear) and the shirts have to be bought by everyone else. Not only that, but, whoever is giving out the shirts have to figure out if they're giving the shirts to the right people or if the person is just BSing with them to get that free shirt. Oh, I have a slew of other bad things that can come of this as well, but, I thought I'd ease you all into it. ;)

Heather, you're not being negative - it's smart to look for holes in any planning process. Finding them before the fact is much better than having things fall apart on the day.

Of course there would be details to iron out in any plan to allow us to get together, but to throw out a few possibilities here - with badges maybe we could have a distinct badge just for us on this forum that wouldn't otherwise be for sale.

As for knowing who to give them to, that part would be easy, we would just need to make a list of people from this forum who plan on attending each event. There could either be a contact person for each con or one person (perhaps Victoria) would be the central contact for everyone.

When all's said and done it's going to be up to Victoria and Carmel to do the arrangements for meetups and the PEACE tables. If we keep making suggestions, we might come up with some ideas that they'll find useful.

Absolutely! :D

Just hearing about it all makes me miss the whole planning process. It's one of the most exciting parts of everything. The other is seeing it all happen.

Thank you for all the ideas and suggestions on the t-shirts for the Jumpcon's. All help is greatly appreciated to come up with the best way to organise the t-shirts. If you have any suggestions but would prefer not to put it to the forum you can also send it to me at bbcontact@adrianpaul.net or just send a PM.

Anyone that is going and is interested please send me an email or PM to let me know and also your t-shirt size. Sizes will be limited so l need to know if we have enough to cover what is required.

Hello Everyone,

I'm new to the Adrian Paul Message Board, just signed up this weekend. But not new to Adrian Paul! Signed up for his fan club back in 1995! Boy, do I miss those quarterly mailers from him.

Two weeks ago, I signed up for the weekend Jumpcon Convention in Boston with my husband. I'm looking forward to our first convention, meeting Adrian Paul and also any admirers/fans of him. We don't know what to expect there. So it would be great to make some friends here and meet up in July!

Victoria, I like the idea very much in regards to the t-shirts and badges. Much easier to find everyone. Also if there is a PEACE table set up at the Jumpcon, you can count me in for any help needed.

Heather, Very good point! I agree!

I look forward to getting to know you all.

Hugs,
Carrie

I agree with the t-shirt idea. I believe we are going to the jumpcon in Detroit in August. Just waiting for word from a few other people on this. It will be nice to see others from our group there.

Renate,

If you scroll up the thread to Victoria's post, you'll read about the t-shirt idea she had in mind for all of us from the forum attending a JumpCon so we may find/recognize each other at these events.

Hope that helped. ;)
