Jimmy Dean the sausage maker is the same Jimmy Dean who sang and recorded "Big Bad John".

He was a singer long before he started selling sausage. I remember once, when he subbed for Johnny Carson, he had a guess who played bass sacsaphone(sp?). He played something during a commercial break and when the camera came back to Jimmy Dean, Jimmy said, "If that song had words we would all be in jail."

Did he write a song about how his sausage left him for a jar of mustard - now all he has is his ketchup and an empty bread roll.;)

ROFL Scooby!!! Not that I know of but it's not out of the realm of possibility!!! Rascal Flatts has a song out about playing a country song backwards though and you would REALLY love it!! And Brad Paisley has one called "Ticks" so you can never tell!! I tell my grand son he speaks "HICKSPANISH". He's listened to so much country music and he learns Spanish at school so when he talks it's country hick with Spanish words and phrases scattered throughout.

I've never posted, but couldn't resist

For me there were 2 in the US - Hound Dog and Don't Be Cruel by Elvis Presley.

In the UK it was Que Sera Sera by Doris Day.

Hmm... Guess that's why I say it all the time... ;)

For me it is Sounds of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel....
Even though , Heather, I loved listening to my transistor radio in the bathtub, listening to Silly Love Songs, Saturday Night(by KC,also), Wildfire, Devil Woman, and Convoy.... I could mention all the songs but that would take up alot of room, so I won't....
My mom had me listening to all kinds of music back then, which I appreciate now for my very diverse listening ability......All except the "cry in your beer" country, just can't stand that, too depressing. I love the "dance" country....and lots of other types of music (including Davy Jones:))

C'ya,
Sharon
