Cover Girl Murders

Adrian Paul plays the role of Patrice, the photographer
in the USA Cable Network movie 'The Cover Girl Murders'.

With his magazine, "Image", in financial trouble, Rex
(Lee Majors) needs one spectacular issue to pull it out so
he flies his editor, Kate, and a group of his top models to
an isolated island paradise for a photo shoot.

From the beginning, the trip is marred by Rex's designs on Kate's younger sister, Rachel, and his ruthless manipulation of the models and crew. Finally, he pushes one of the women into a stunt that costs her her life.  A series of strange accidents plagues the photo shoot and only the magazine's art director suspects foul play. She's seen this before and is convinced that the incidents are no accidents at
all, but a twisted publicity scheme, staged by the magazine's slimy publisher. If she's right, who'll be the next victim?

Deliberate "mistake":
At the end of the film its revealed all the murders were a hoax and everyone was in on the plan to set up Rex (Lee Majors). Why then exactly were Rachel (Vanessa Angel) and Patrice (Adrian Paul) talking together and pretending like they were trying to find the killer. In one of the scenes Rachel believes she has caught a photo of one of the men who she thought might be a killer and is showing Patrice, but Rex wasn't anywhere around. Therefore why were they pretending to find a killer or keep up the illusion whilst Rex wasn't around?
