On 1st December 2007, the New York Palace, a Boscolo Luxury Hotel in Budapest, will be the host of the International Final of the World Top Model Competition.

Models from over 30 countries are expected to attend and the winner will receive a modelling contract and professional training worth €200,000 euros offered by Major Model Management. In addition, over 700 other models, agents and representatives of foreign fashion brands will be present.

The celebrity Committee will be chaired by Adrian Paul. International models/stars who have attended past events include Carla Bruni, Monica Bellucci and Eva Herzigova.

Adrian’s own charity The PEACE Fund will benefit as one of the participating charities. The main proceeds from the event go to the United Way Hungary.

Adrian has just finished filming “Captain Drake” in Bulgaria with all reports saying that the shoot has gone exceptionally well. Adrian himself is particularly excited by this ‘comedic drama’, which is due for release on the Sci-Fi Channel in 2008. 

Adrian then heads almost immediately to his next project, the supernatural suspense movie, “Nine Miles Down”. The film went into pre-production and preliminary shooting last year but Adrian 's central role commences filming in January. Set in the Arabian Desert, the exterior scenes will actually be shot in the striking landscape of Tunisia with the interiors being filmed in Budapest, Hungary.

"I'm really glad the film's moving forward," Adrian exclusively tells www.adrianpaul.net . "I love the idea of a story that explores not only the obvious and mysterious threats in a character's immediate environment, but the internal obstacles they must also overcome. As an actor, it's always interesting to play characters who are conflicted and have issues to solve.”

The film is directed by Anthony Waller, who also wrote and directed “An American Werewolf in Paris” and, the highly-acclaimed thriller, “Mute Witness” with Marina Sudina and Sir Alec Guinness (in his penultimate role). “Nine Miles Down” also stars Kate Nauta (“The Game Plan” and “Transporter II”).

Adrian's fans of romantic fiction will be pleased to know that Adrian has been invited to be a special guest of honor at the 25th Anniversary Cover Model Reunion dinner event in Pittsburgh, on Saturday, April 19th 2008. Click on the logo below for more information.

Currently known as 'Captain Drake' Adrian's new role will be directed by Dave Flores ("Sands of Oblivion"); written by - Rafael Jordan ("Wraiths of Roanoke"); and produced by Jeffery Beach and Phil Roth for the SCI FI Channel.

The cast will include Temuera Morrison (Star Wars Episodes II and III) as Spanish Captain Don Sandovate; Wes Ramsey as Peter Easton, Drake's first officer and protégé and Daniel Kash as Baldassarre Cossa, an Italian mercenary and would-be scholar in Drake's employ.
 

SYNOPSIS: "1592. Four years after England's defeat of the Spanish Armada, tensions still run deep, especially between Sir Francis Drake, "The Queen's Pirate", and his lifelong nemesis, Captain Don Sandovate.

An encounter with a mysterious Syrian sultan, however, finds the two men and their crews engaged in a daring race against time, each embarking upon a desperate quest to exotic foreign lands where they face perilous obstacles and untold dangers at every turn."

adrianpaul.net is pleased to announce another new movie role for Adrian as he takes the lead in "EYEBORGS."

"The script is really quite good and I am always happy to support independent films because they can sometimes surprise you with the depth of the material," said Adrian.

"This topic is very current in many ways. For instance, in the United Kingdom there are at present about 1.5 million surveillance cameras. So I ask myself, where will it end or what will it turn into? I love current topics or historical material."

The film, which will be shot in 35mm in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, will co-star Dan Trejo, Megan Blake and Lucas Elliott.

SYNOPSIS: Following the Introduction of the Freedom of Observation Act, the vast array of separate private and public surveillance cameras throughout America are united to form the Optical Defense Intelligence Network - ODIN and the Department of Homeland Security introduces the latest weapon in the war on terror.... EYEBORGS.

Gunner (played by Adrian Paul), an agent for the Department, uncovers a plot to assassinate the President. But his investigation is plagued by brutal murders and untimely accidents. Beginning his investigation of the Eyeborg's powerful surveillance system, he comes to believe that he is under the control of an unknown enemy. He soon realizes the truth: that ODIN is running everything and he now must save both himself and the President from a system that can follow and kill you anywhere.

THE HEAVY - A British thriller - the story of sibling rivalry turned into betrayal between two brothers, one a candidate for Prime Minister.

Adrian will play Christian Mason, brother of Mitch 'Boots' Mason (played by Gary Stretch) nominated party leader and  favorite to become the next British Prime Minister

The film will be directed by Marcus Warren and will also star such well known names as Christopher Lee, Vinnie Jones, Stephen Rea and Jean Marsh.
