Highlander is a 1992 TV series which ran for six seasons with 117 episodes and is based on the film of the same name.

The series starred Adrian Paul as the immortal Duncan MacLeod, a Scottish highlander born centuries before. MacLeod is now living in North America awaiting a mysterious time known as "The Gathering".

His new life is not without problems, however, as other immortals are trying to kill him and take his power before "The Gathering" as "in the end, there can be only one". MacLeod defends himself with a sword, using it to decapitate his enemies, the only way an immortal can be killed.
