At the end of the 1953 film War of the Worlds, Earth is saved from alien invaders when they are apparently killed by common bacteria. However, what if the aliens weren't really dead? In the television action series War of the Worlds, the aliens from the 1953 invasion are brought out of suspended animation when radiation kills the infecting bacteria. Now the aliens launch a genocidal war against an unsuspecting Earth, using their ability to take over human bodies to allow them to move freely.

Adrian appeared in 22 episodes in the the second and final season as John Kincaid, a guerrilla-style fighter, who battles against the aliens that have invaded earth. His lone-wolf nature is put to the test when he his flung together with a scientist, a woman, and her young daughter, who are all forced to hide underground to avoid capture from those they can no longer trust.
